Directions to the Mountain of Terror
Directions to the Mountain of Terror. Maybe it's a place you've been to before or wondered what it's like to get there? Read this little short story to find out.
You’ll probably start from the bottom, where everything is still blooming and colourful. Maybe you’ve started this journey before and know how to get there halfway.
To get to the bottom, you just need to follow the same path as everyone else. Be content and easy on your travelling companions.
To get to the top, stick with fellow travellers who are angry at those going too slow. They’ve…

Dragon Hunters – Part 2
Dragon Hunters – Part 2. Kael goes after the dragon and is surprised to see whose side Auryn is on.
As I run towards the screams of the town people, I can feel Auryn following me. I don’t want her to – it’s dangerous, and although she seems nice, I haven’t figured out yet whose side she’s on. She seems more human than dragon; the only odd thing about her is her wings and maybe her hair and eye colour. However, she had known there was a dragon here and she didn’t mention a word to me until it…

Dragon Hunters – Part 1
Dragon Hunters – Part 1. When he went into the cave, he thought people were exaggerating but was willing to take the job anyway. Split into two part ❤️
“You have to help us, please,” the older woman whines and grabs me by my collar. “We’ve heard all about you and we never thought you’d come into our little town.”
“Just what is going on?” I wrap my hands around her wrists, not too tight, but enough to get her grip off me.
“People have spotted a dragon,” the younger woman, whom I assume to be her daughter, explains. “Just… the wings. We…

Coloured Pegs
Coloured Pegs. A short and bittersweet story about how the little things in life keep us attached to one person.
When Amy moved in, at first, I was annoyed at how clean she was about everything. After moving out from home, I had wanted to live with people my age who were equally chill about mess.
But Amy wasn’t chill, at least not in that sense. She was very relaxed and easy-going, except when it came to chores. Amy loved lounging with us on the sofa until the sun came up, but only as long as there were…

The Closet Monster
The Closet Monster – A short story about a father who wants to protect his daughter from the life he left behind.
“Daddy, there’s a monster in the closet.”
I tried to show my daughter a smile, but I felt a cold chill run down my spine. “Don’t worry, baby,” I told her and forced myself to lean forward to press a kiss to her forehead. “I’ll make sure you’re safe.” Instead of tucking her in, I lifted up the blanket and helped her get out of bed, to bring her into the bedroom I shared with my husband. “You…

I have now decided to make a Patreon. I know I still have a long way to go before I can seriously make money like this, but I would really appreciate it, if you liked my previous story, if you could help me out a bit so I can dedicate more of my time to writing.
Thank you! Here is the link:

Miscommuncation
Miscommuncation – A short story. This is a little short story from the perspective of a secondary character from the novel I am currently writing.
Claire wanted to be helpful and hook Jack up with someone. She convinced him to go to a gay bar, and pointed out a guy she thought looked nice, “What do you think about him?”
He frowned at her for only a second and then shook it off. “I wouldn’t try hooking up with anyone in here, if I were you,” he chuckled, avoiding her eyes, and sipped his drink. “I’m pretty sure most of the guys in here…

Travel Tuesday – 5 Reasons to be Excited About the Future
It is now April of 2020, and we are all waiting for quarantine to just. Be. Over. With people posting all of their old travelling shots all over instagram, it makes us miss the now foreign outdoors even more! We cannot control what our current situation looks like but what we can change is how we look at our lives at the moment. While it seems bleak and dull at the moment, this is the best time to actually plan ahead.
Music Monday: Sweetener
Sweetener is the fourth studio album by Italian-American pop princess Ariana Grande, and while each new track offers a different experience to the listener, the album still feels connected across its fifteen tracks.
The first introduction that was given to the public was the lead single, “No Tears Left to Cry”; expected to be a quiet ballad, the piece surprises as an up-beat song in remembrance of the Manchester attack at Grande’s concert last year in May. This positivity that Grande tries to spread through this song follows through the rest of the album as well.
While the various tracks differ greatly from each other in composition, instrumentals and vocals, the message is always the same: be positive and look ahead. Prime examples are the more hip-hop inclined track featuring Nicki Minaj, “The Light is Coming” and “Get Well Soon,” the latter also paying tribute to the victims who lost their lives at the Manchester attack by having added forty seconds of silence to the track. However, Grande does not lose her roots and songs like “Raindrops,” “Goodnight N Go” and “Pete Davidson” (named after the singer’s fiancé) remind the listener to the sweet and innocent love songs that marked her debut album “Yours Truly.”
With her fourth studio album, Grande has shown that she is able to evolve musically while simultaneously staying true to her origins.
