@thlrlwalls
listening to a man break up with his partner on the train and the first sentence I heard was "I just don't appreciate you cheating on me six different times, once with my own father."
You listen to music regularly? Why? Have you even tried quitting? Could you quit? You get music stuck in your head? Wow. You're so ruined and music brained. I bet you make your partners listen to music with you when you have sex. Music addiction has really ruined a whole generation. You know it's not realistic to expect reverb in real life, right? You're probably so desensitized that you don't even feel anything anymore when you hear a bird singing that it wants some fuck.
I don't have a problem with people listening to music per se, but I do have a problem with the music industry exploiting & mistreating artists.
Personally, I abstain from all music in order to keep my hands clean but really music should just be illegal outright to protect musicians from abuse.
holy shit this person in the notes
they’re foreclosing on my mind palace
not now kitten, daddy's about to have a mental breakdown from seeing the prices at the grocery store
And then you can’t even say shit about bc people start trying to put you in a jacket and shit. Like omg it’s so strict???
i have this deadly sickness called remembering
don't even remember posting this
you don’t realize how important lunch is until you’re wandering around thinking about how unloveable and untalented and uniquely cursed you are and then it’s 4pm and you finally eat lunch and you go Oh. oh right.
lot of people commenting on this post like "who eats lunch at 4pm that's a terrible time to eat lunch" yes. that is the point. 4pm lunch is inadvisable. 4pm lunch is not the ideal. 4pm lunch makes the mind demons real.
sorry I saw a post about AAVE and got fired up and had to make this
tbh it's very difficult to take any opinion on callout culture on tumblr seriously if it fails to acknowledge how it arose out of necessity
The very first callout post I saw on this site was of a cis man in Florida who had abused his position as a ~cool educated anarchist~ to rape several women.
The first callout of a transfemme I didn’t see until years later and it was directed at monetizeyourcat for financially abusing and pressuring young trans women into sex.
Callout posts did have a purpose - there were indeed many people using their online persona as a means to abuse people.
many self-identified left-leaning people seem to have recently adopted a strange attitude of “maybe we should only believe victims if it’s politically convenient” which is basically the same ideological conditions that allowed Cesar Chavez to escape accountability while he was alive. This is a dangerous mindset that lays the groundwork for future Monetizeyourcats and future Cesar Chavezes.
Don’t let the government convince you to not care about disabled people
I mean, they already did when Biden said "it's safe to re-open schools" while separated by 20 ft from a reporter with millions-of-dollars of special HVAC pumping clean air onto him and Fauci said "the high risk will fall to the wayside, and some will die" and then everyone took off their masks and we had the Delta wave :)
I think people need to reckon with how frequently they already devalue disabled life and work to rectify how they show up for disabled people around them with their political and moral beliefs instead of worrying about falling for the propaganda. They drank the flavor-aid years ago, and that's gotta be pointed out clearly.
are people talking about the labor conditions at Taylor Farms yet? like the fact they use enslaved prisoners in their facilities?
are we drawing the connection between worker safety and consumer safety & public health yet?
are people demanding to see the conditions in this place that keeps making us sick? why are the enslaved workers not having the time to use the bathroom or to rest when ill? very few people would shit in front of their coworkers given any choice at all.
On the prisoners point:
In a sweeping two-year investigation, The Associated Press found goods linked to prisoners wind up in the supply chains of everything from F
More on the health point:
"US Department of Labor proposes more than $1M fine following worker fatality at New Jersey vegetable processing facility"
https://www.dol.gov/newsroom/releases/osha/osha20251124
here is every mention of the companies/products mentioned in the mpr article
Name the chains! At this point in the article it seems like contracting with prisons is the default for meat plants ☹
was it Hillary Clinton who lived in a mansion staffed by prison slaves? somebody please tell me which politician was called out
slavery is so deeply baked the meat and dairy industry & our food chain in general. the scale of it all is baffling. animal agriculture gets billions & billions of taxpayer subsidies while the labor is fucking free. never eat meat in this fuckin country i guess. honestly just never eat
i’m sure it works for some people but the thought of marrying your high school sweetheart from your little hometown without ever experiencing anything without them sounds like a punishment for some unforgivable and inhumane act you carried out in a previous life
they tried to kill me for this post
