Hi, so WFA was my into into comics and I loved it so much I decided that I was going to read the real comics And at first I was like 'what is this mischaracterization? They do not act like that! Dick is a himbo, T!m is a Twink!' But now when I see the fandom stuff I hate myself for thinking that was how they actually were

proud of you for actually seeking out the real comics though, I personally don't see anything wrong with WFA being someone's introduction to comics but it becomes a problem when they take it as the gospel of all batman content.

Tim Drake was not "nerfed" by bisexuality. His bisexuality is absolutely the last thing to hate him for. There are so so many valid reasons to hate that man, but his sexuality is not one of them.

He was boring before he was bi and he's boring after. That didn't change anything.

The difference between Steve and Tony in CA:CW will always boil down to this:

Tony stands up to authority because he was born into immense wealth and privilege and has never had to answer to anyone. He defies authority because he knows he'll never have to face actual consequences for doing so.

Steve stands up to authority because he was born into poverty and grew up a poor, disabled Irish-American during the Great Depression. He defies authority because he knows what it's like to be dismissed, undervalued, and disenfranchised and never wants anyone to face that.

Tony pushed for the accords because he knew he could just break them and nothing would happen to him (which is exactly how it went down).

Steve refused to sign the accords because he would never sign away his human rights and the rights of other people to an authority he knew would abuse them (which, again, is exactly what happened).

So in a way, they were both right about the accords. Tony was just also infinitely more wrong.

not gonna elaborate it rn, but people diminishing Jason's experience with homelessness, malnourishment, childhood abuse and neglect, because he got adopted by a billionaire while also hcning Tim Drake to be abused and starved by his wealthy parents is rooted in racism and classism

I will leave a fic immediately if Jason calls Tim "replacement" because it once again mischaracterizes both of them. Jason NEVER calls Tim that. He also only calls Tim "pretender" like once and its while he's pretending to be Hush. tho im a little more forgiving on that front as its an actual insult and not just a pouty nickname that reinforces Jason's perceived interiority.

Tim on the other hand is a nasty hateful little bitch who i imagine sits in his room staring at the wall praying for Jason's downfall. But that's beside the point.
