Lifted Poem
Ā Every inhaled breath I take is proof I am lucky to be alive.Ā
I have my moments where anxiety takes over. I canāt Ā think straight and my heart racesĀ Ā 100 miles per hours.Ā
Heavy Weight on my chest and I become helpless. Help! (sigh)
I scream but no one can hear me, because I donāt know how to ask for help.Ā
Ā It is unintentional self Sabotage.Ā
If I could describe myself.Ā Ā Iād say Iām a scary cat, invisible, and loves way too much.Ā
The motto is look down, be silent and move forward. Yes! Wrong!
In moments of darkness, my mind wanders like a lost traveler, retracing every step of past conversations and blaming myself for being me. I dissect and cut every imperfection with the greatest precision a neurosurgeon could only dream of. I become my worst critic.Ā
In the depths of my doubts, I find strength to rise above.Ā
I pause take a breath because, I am also intuitive of my feelings and suddenly I change my perspective.Ā
I Take a second breath and say to myself. I am loved for who I am. The people I cherish the most are the ones who, without hesitation, would choose me. The anxiety fades away and I feel whole again.Ā
