SAVIOUR
Today I got to leave work early and sprint my way back to the face that runs laps in my mind. The face displayed prominently on every screen I look at. The face of the person who showed me there is no ceiling on true love.
And we got pink donuts and she got messy and I gave her a bath and braided her hair with beads, my first time, and my sweet angel sat through it all for me.
And if you ask her, I'm the best braider ever. The best at everything. Her "favorite Mommy."
Then evening came and as I was cleaning my darling came to help me and joined me in singing one of our favorite songs- "Wonderwall." She told me she was gonna save me but what she didn't know is that she already has.
"You know you saved my life, right?" "I know, Mommy. I saved you from falling off the couch. I held your hand. I hold your hand in the morning and I walk you to the bathroom. I always save you."
Yes, you do, baby. Yes, you do.
