I did a poll awhile ago for the next series, and ya'll opted for more in the LaL timeline so we'll be back here very soon! I'm making use of my backlog of comics to write/draw the entirety of that series so that it can post weekly and ya'll don't gotta wait to get pieces randomly over 8 months lol. approximately what happened w doffy & law's family
The trafalgars don’t have extended family. Maybe law’s mom & dad were immigrants, and Law’s dad was kind of naive when he started college and met doffy and doffy seemed like he was being nice to him (he was using him to do his homework lmao). To law’s dad, doffy is a dear friend. To doffy, law’s dad is someone who’s really smart who he can underpay and overuse. doffy can usually sweet talk him into getting approval/medical sign off/etc on some big pharma stuff or smthn.
Doffy’s big pharma or something makes some sort of modern equivalent to smile, and law's dad is about to submit something that would prove the smile equivalent is unsafe and fuck up doffy's business venture. Basically he’s like “sorry bro the fda’s gonna shut this one down :^(“ and so doffy's just like "k kill him before he does that and make it look like an accident :^)" and the trafalgar family home gets set on fire but law's not there, maybe he's doing an overnight stint in the hospital cuz he is Sickly
He ends up in doffy’s “”””care”””
Rosi immediately is like excuse me the fuck?
He can see doffy’s grooming the kid. Doffy can see rosi’s sus. So doffy uses his influence over law (threatening his housing/education/general well being etc in that way that victims don’t realize that’s what’s happening) to make him hate rosi too. Rosi tries to get law out of there. Really tries. He talks to him earnestly. Gets to know him. Plants seeds of doubt for how doffy’s treating him. Really tries to get law to understand he’s worth so much more than the situation he’s in. Rosi’s undercover though and there’s not a ton of splashes he can make in the grand scheme of things.
Until one night he catches a glimpse of the extent of doffy’s abuse.
Law is 15. High out of his mind while doffy takes advantage of him.
Rosi doesn’t make a scene even tho he wants to. He lays back. Waits till law’s alone. Law tells him that wasn’t a one time thing, but that lately he’s felt weird about it. Rosi’s like UH YEAH UNDERSTANDABLY and is like we’re getting the FUCK outta here. Makes a call to Sengoku. Says he’s gonna have to blow his cover. Gives him a meeting place. Tells him to expect a kid.
They make a break for it, almost cleanly. Law’s confused, still kinda fucked up, moving slow. It’s snowing. Doffy finds them. Tries to get law to come back with him. Rosi insists he’s taking him. We know how this confrontation ends. Rosi tells law to run and he runs. Finds Sengoku. Cries. Cries. Cries.
Sengoku tries to get custody of Law. That was the kid his son died to save. To him, that’s his grandson. Law doesn’t care. Manages to swerve the system to an extent, meets bepo, peng, shachi. They’re brothers. They’re brothers. They live together on pennies. Law and shachi get into a lot of trouble trying to get drugs and alcohol. Bepo and peng are watching their brothers wither away. They’re doing everything they can. Shachi’s not as bad as law.
OH I SHOULD MENTION -- for a majority of Thermal Stress I built sets in The Sims to use as backgrounds! All of the sets you'll see are original builds using The Sims 4 base game, City Life, Get to Work, and Seasons expansions. This process really upped my shot composition game and I hope ya'll like it!!

Be on the look out for MORE Halloween stuff from me, I got bit by the Hallow's Eve Spider this past week O_O (On that note, I shall be taking next weekend off for an update, I will be annoyingly busy again)
PS I was weirdly tempted to give Niji a peanut allergy here... idk he seems the type and it'd be funny with the costume, in a way 'scary' even!

Also, sorry for skipping last week, for sure over did it with that 6-page monster aaaaaand can say for sure that next week will be a skip week too. Got my final 6-day work week then will FINALLY get a break in time for Halloween thankfully, geez
