ELAIN is sunlight. Shes the one associated with sunlight. Shes the one compared to sunlight and the “sun at dawn” poetic azriel coming in for the win and brightening Azriel’s shadows.
Azriel and Elain are yin and yang. They are the acotar couple associated with light and dark. Neither of the other two are.

I am so excited to see Elain working with Cerridwen and Nuala whether its spying or researching Elain’s power.
But I am curious how she will learn more about her Seer powers. There are no other seers right? At least none named. I like the theory that Azriel’s mom is one and that she will help. But who knows?? Maybe a new character will be introduced?
Reading The Ever King and The Ever Queen by L.J. Andrews and i have to say Livia’s power is so elain coded.
Not finished the second book yet but what she seems to be doing in the books is exactly what i expect Elain to do. Bringing back life to the land. Like bryce(and Flynn) in hofas with avallen.

Elain does not care about Lucien at all. Thats a crazy thing for SJM to write for potential endgame mates. If my ship had scenes like this I would have given up a long time ago. Thats not how love stories are written.
Interesting how Lucien lovers read this and still ship it…are they that obsessed with the mating bond?
Especially when you compare it to her kicking a beast in the face barefoot when it ripped Azriel’s wings apart in acowar.
Why Elain Archeron is the greatest fmc sjm has ever written
Shes kind, loving, nurturing, has an unbelievable strength we all wish to achieve someday, and has the fortitude to push back against people who see her as nothing more than a delicate flower. The balance of softness and strength has been missing in fmcs these day and i love to see it make its come back. Women who can protect their family then comfort them, Who can kill a tyrant king then grow a beautiful rose.
I just know her story is going to be my favourite and i cannot wait to see her prosper.
