Since I love reading about mythological fiction I got a paperback copy of this book and I think I made a good choice. The book begins with prologue focusing on deva and asura, the cosmic war as well as the quest for vital Knowledge. . . It is believed that anyone receiving the enigmatic Vital Knowledge becomes immortal and can also manifest unparalleled cosmic powers called siddhi. So asura's obsession is to possess the complete vital Knowledge and get all the benefits. They want to become superior and degrade devas. But, deva's are offered protection by Lord Shiva and are ordered to create an ashram on earth that will become the Adobe of the ancients. . . Moving on to the storyline of present day, there are three main characters i.e. 1. Gerua - simple mother 2. Danta - 5 year old boy 3. Bubba - dejected young man . . Gerua's son, danta is bestowed with Vital Knowledge and our villan (Bubba) wants to get it at any cost. So, the whole story revolves around finding the gate, the battle of reach the gate. It is quite interesting to find out who actually gets to the destination and get the benefits. Apart from the main theme, the book also discusses about yoga, kriyas, mudras, mythological beings as well as books like odyssey. Overall, a good thriller and fictional story. Good One time read. At some places it had too much description (unnecessary extending the pages). Also, the cover of the book is interesting and can grab readers attention but once you will read you will know that it's not completely related to the storyline.
