I just want to give a shout to the most unexpected comedy trio of the season. Every scene of the three of them had me in stitches.
This means that not only were all three Featherington sisters pregnant at the same time, but two Bridgerton women were also pregnant at the same time.
PRUDENCE FEATHERINGTON season 3 part 2 outfits
As a big fan of character growth, I just love all the Featherington women so much. 💕
Headcanon that Phillipa has always meant "butterflies" when she says "insects" or "bugs" and Varley just gave up on trying to correct her after the first few attempts. So when Phillipa said she wanted bugs and insects at the ball, Varley just nodded to herself and went "Butterflies. Got it."
Portia really seeing Penelope for the first time, Penelope telling her mother they are more alike than she thought, Penelope supporting her sisters, her sisters supporting Penelope and then ending up as chaotic aunts... Truly us Featherington stans have been blessed 💚
One married woman doesn't like sex, one married woman doesn't know what sex is, & one is a virgin but the most sexually liberated of the 3. The Featherington sisters are a special bunch and vital history lesson of important 1800s female representation.
BESSIE CARTER as PRUDENCE FEATHERINGTON in BRIDGERTON S03E07
To me the best part of the show is seeing how love can be part of us even if we don't believe we deserved. Colin didn't believe he did. But he was capable of love.
And all the Featherington either. It's because of that, the love Colin had for Penelope changed all the dinamic between this women. Because it was there, to generate more love. Portia and her daughters just need it to believe it. And they did.
Did anyone else catch Prudence tearing up during the wedding? I’m sure some of it was the pregnancy hormones but also that the toxicity from Portia had dissolved into actual care and that seeped into Prudence’s treatment of her as sisters. *clutches pearls* The growth of the Featheringtons is one of my favorite parts of this season🥹
Portia isn’t the only plotter in the Featherington house. Their servants have been working round the clock on Penelope’s love life trying to ensure that Prudence and Phillipa aren’t the next Lady Featherington
genuinely loved the 2nd half of the season evolution of the featherington home. loved how lady f took the news, how she felt proud, how she was impressed, how varley was proud of pen, how she made the bug ball happen for pru and phillipa, how phillipa was dim and silly and prudence showed her meanness was because that was how she intended to get attention from her mom (by reminding portia of herself, being cutting and mean) and actually softening a bit, the way that the sisters came together, how penelope protected the featherington's from losing the title, how phillipa released the butterflies and brought the evening to a triumphant close, how proud pru looked when pen was speaking, how wonderfully loving the husbands were, the ending where phillipa says her daughter would be successful without a man just like her auntie, how they all come together as mothers and a family and finally finally stop competing and start taking care of each other
BRIDGERTON SPOILERS
MICHAELA STIRLING??? FRANS NEW LOVE INTEREST IS A WOMAN WHO SHE ALREADY HAS CHEMISTRY WITH??? UGHH IM SO FUCKING HAPPY. A FEM4FEM COUPLEEEEE YAYYYY 😍😍 next few seasons will be amazingggg.
Also, very glad Benedict is exploring the queer side of his identity.
Polin: I liked it. Colin defended Pen amazingly and seems to truly love her. Pen has finally got what she deserves: to be seen (by the public) and by the man of her dreams. love that for her. also glad she has eloise back as a friend. cressida was gettin on my nerves.
Anthony: I found it so cute that he told Kate he wanted to have the baby in her home country, so both him and the baby can learn her culture and history. He is very considerate, and I love seeing him happy.
Portia: She had a personality glow-up. I’m glad she is finally being a mom, and not just a mother.
Featherington sisters: I think the 3 of them are starting to get along, and not due to any influence by their mom but because they truly enjoy each others company.
Violet Bridgerton: I’m glad she has a love interest. But I could just imagine the scene Anthony would cause if he found out 😭
Overall, I would give the season an 8.7/10. I feel like there was a lot of repetition between eloise and pen, and it took up a significant amount of the episodes at times. Still, i think adding a female love interest for Fran instead of it being “Michael” made up for it, cause it really made it end on a good note.🙏🏾
Also, can I say I just love Philipa??? She rushed to free the insects and saved her sister from the crowd! She also mentioned how her daughter could become a famous author like her aunt!
Prudence, once she got over her jealousy about Portia finally taking notice of Penelope, was also quite nice to her! I hope they get to be closer now!
“Speaking of hiding. How did you secure Mr.Bridgerton? Did you find a spell in one of your books?”
“Girls. You shall not abuse your sister in this household.”
“But you were the one…”
“We have all been acting in a uncouth way of late. The excitement of two pregnancies and a surprise engagement, we have all quite forgotten ourselves. But as head of this household I will remind us, that Featheringtons support one another.”
“Is that what you were doing earlier? Supporting me?”
“You’re right, I have been unkind. But it stops now.”
Yes Eloise tearing up at Colin and Penelope's wedding was emotional and I cried with her, but why is no one talking about Prudence also tearing up.
That's her baby sister!! Marrying the love of her life!!! And despite all the nagging, she's so happy for her LIKE LOOK AT THAT PROUD BIG SISTER
I just love that this season had Penelope mending her relationship with her family as well. The Featheringtons (although none of them are Featherington anymore except Portia) were a delight this season, and always the most entertaining and funniest part of Bridgerton I don't care what people say, the show would lose a lot from their absence.
