. Adventure Time finale left me with a lot of feelings.
Me: Females have two X chromosomes and males have an X chromosome and a Y chromosome. So it's actually the father who determines the sex of the baby.
King Henry VIII: okay.. that sounds fake but okay.
Ghost: Pity me not, but lend thy serious hearing
To what I shall unfold.
Hamlet: Speak; I am bound to hear.
Ghost: Hi, bound to hear, I'm dad

If I keep following and unfollowing you I am deeply sorry- my Tumblr app is bananas and keeps unfollowing people when I try to check out their page.
do you ever just read a book and think to yourselfΒ βyup, this was written by a dudeβ
buy your kids books, guys.
i was very fortunate to have two parents growing up who MADE me read.
i was read a bedtime story every night until i was maybe 8 or 9 years old
from the second i learned to read my mom took me to the library every friday as a treat
after every doctorβs visit that i behaved well at, weβd go to the bookstore and Iβd get to pick a book
sometimes my dad would randomly bring home a book he thought id likeΒ
i was by no means a kid who even remotely got all the toys i wanted but if i wanted a specific book? id get it. even if i had to wait for my next birthday, but my parents would make sure that i got it.
the first thing my parents did when i started learning english at school when i was maybe 11 or 12 is buy me a book
any present, any treat - it was ALWAYS books.Β
β¦. and all that paid off. If you want your kid to grow up to be an intersectional feminist, to be liberal and open-minded, buy them books to support that. books open minds and hearts. trust me.Β

A remake every Cary Grant film starting John Cho reblog if you agree.
terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad
Life is just being extremely difficult. Iβm having trouble finding work - I have a temp role, but really need something permanent soon because I canβt deal with the stress of not having a routine, normal income any more. Our letting agency want to either lock us in for another six months and raise our rent, or for us to give our two monthsβ notice. Effectively that means we stay here and pay West End rates when we donβt have steady work, or move back in with our parents (or both in with my mum? Not sure yet.) because there is no way weβll be able to rent another flat without at least one of us having a job, etc, etc.
I have been for four interviews and have been told after every single one that I did really well but didnβt get the job. I donβt even know how many jobs Iβve applied for since my last contract ended. Itβs hard not to blame myself for not being able to stick out my training contract (even though that, too, only counted as temporary work) but I was physically unable to continue and I feel so much happier now than I have in years now that Iβm not putting myself under so much pressure.
ON THE PLUS SIDE I saw loads of people whom I started my legal training with last year talking about being seconded down to London and so on and that just made me so, SO thankful that Iβm no longer going down that route because honestly I canβt think of anything that would make me want to set myself on fire more.
Itβs a hard lifeβ¦
Poor puppy lost his short life this morning after a sudden illness. He wasnβt even eleven weeks old. I donβt know what to do with myself.
