I've been going on walks during my lunch break to get in shape. Today I went to the locks and watched a tour boat go through. Then I got some coffee (honey bee buzz latte; honey, coconut, whipped cream, and bee pollen) after having a discussion about baking pizza and Howe Caverns with a older guy on a lavender-purple electric bike. Then I read my gory horror novel in front of the government building.
It was beautiful out today.
Tis the season for some horror! (I believe horror is for every season, but it's especially more in-season now.)
Lunch break with some tea and Discworld.
It's been a while, hasn't it?
Life has been tough recently, but I'll make it through. I do what I can to help, but sometimes I need to stop and have some tea.
Being able to sit in the cool Florida morning on my parent's lanai is a treat. Also pictured: my new kitty slippers.
A cup of tea seemed appropriate for pairing with a book about some plucky car show.
Cat, coffee, Kindle.
One of my Halloween treats was that I got to hold a first edition of Jamaica Inn. Published in 1936. This is one of my favorite gothic novels.
fuck it, colorful home libraries
My husband took me to a comfort food place since I am having a bad mental health day. I love the coconut chicken soup they make, as they can make it not as spicy. That plus dunking the udon noodles in it made me happy.
The weather may be getting cooler, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying a cold brew.
My book and reading companion for the night.
Worked up the courage to enter a pub alone (waiting for friends) and it was the best - wine and a good book
When my husband and I go out for dinner, sometimes he'll be reading manga on his phone or playing a game while I read whatever book I brought. Tonight I read this while eating some potato curry.
We don't need to talk at every meal. Sometimes the presence of the most important person in my life is enough.
