DILEMMA: I want to finish the kanto dex, but that means I will have to sell a part of my soul to the dome fossil, should I risk it?

Can I buy a irl copy of the book with Hardcover? And Where?

No current plans to sell the book because I’m pretty swamped with finishing college. There was an issue in the past where someone completely unrelated to the project had started selling copies without asking any of the authors for permission so it got a little complicated. If you agree not to resell the book there is no reason you can’t download a PDF of the book and get it printed at a copy center. They can usually do the binding for you. Just remember that your copy would be for personal use only.We may do a very limited official run in the future... but I’ll have to get back to you all after I graduate. :) Helix Bless!

I've been looking for a Helix fossil in Pokemon X for quite some time now, but I've only been finding Dome fossils (which have all been discarded accordingly). I've prayed to our Lord Helix to guide me, but my prayers have yet to be answered. What should I do?

This is just a reminder that the Book of Helix is a free PDF. There are currently no official copies in circulation. You are free to print the PDF out for your own personal use. Any physical copies you see for sale, however, are unauthorized by the original author and contributors so please refrain from purchasing them.

Official print copies are still a possibility. Seeing the Book sold without permission really took the wind out of my sails, and I had to take a break from the project after tracking down everyone involved with both this project and the unauthorized sales. But now, since all that has been long sorted out, and I believe that the Book of Helix is still fair use as a transformative work, I am going to think about options for print again. It may be a while, since I am only one person and I am busy finishing undergrad and preparing to apply to graduate school, but I do want to make this happen.

If someone were to volunteer to write those extra testaments of the Book, would they be accepted?

I made a firm creative decision to not expand the Book of Helix past the first two generations so unfortunately I will not be adding any extra testaments to the Book. I also think that leaving the Book as is gives a nice image of what early TPP was like. 

However, I also think everyone has the right to write whatever pleases them. I would be willing to reblog writing from later runs, if that writing is focused on the Helix Fossil religion. I just won’t be going into the actual Book of Helix’s PDF file and adding more writing to it.

Are there going to be testaments for the other regions?

The short answer is no.

I started writing a little for Hoenn back when I was still polishing The Johto Testament, but I didn’t like how it was going so I actually made the decision to only have the first two generations. Anyways, I liked how it kinda paralleled the Christian Bible, having the Old and New testaments. We also don’t add more recent events to the Christian Bible even though there’s around 2000 years of history to add to it. We leave it alone as a sacred text, which is what the Book of Helix is meant to be as well.

Additionally, I really saw Gen 1 and 2 as a complete story, the first generation establishing this entire religion around our Lord Helix and Anarchy, while the second generation had a theme of No Gods, Only ‘Mon and overthrowing that religion, establishing more of a balance between Democracy and Anarchy. I think it’s rather beautiful.
