*This is the third book out of four in the Green Creek series so read the other two first before picking up this one, they are all equally gay and worth reading. Yes, they are books about wolves. And before you say no....yes. I usually do not like werewolf books or the trope but these books were so beautifully written and it’s like the foundest family that was ever found and every one is gay. And tj klune is a magnificent writer, he will manage to make you cry and then laugh in a turn of a page.*

— She Drives Me Crazy (2021)

This rating does not come as a shock to anyone. I knew I was going to love this book when I first read the synopsis and seen the cover. And It was everything it said it was going to be and then some. 'She Drives Me Crazy' is a book about first love, friendship and healing from heartbreak. There's a quote in the book; "Before you can worry about who's in your passenger seat, you have to learn to drive yourself." That quote really rounded out what I felt like this book was about. It was so silly and so much fun but it also felt like an incredibly heart felt love letter to being young and learning what it is to be in love and to love yourself. Kelly Quindlen has this way of writing queer YA books that makes me feel incredibly seen even now as an adult. If you're looking for a sappy YA sports romance, this book is literally perfect for you.

— Honey Girl (2021)

I will call you Honey Girl. Consider this a calling card, if you ever need a— I don’t know how these things work. A friend? A Wife? A partner.

You know when when you're finished reading a book and you just want to hold it close to your chest for awhile? That was this book. I knew this book would be romantic but reading it kind of felt like falling in actual love. Grace and Yuki and their poetic sort of banter had my heart from start to finish. This book proudly pronounced it's lesbian characters which made me feel so warm and happy inside. I had such high expectations for this book, it was one of my most anticipated 2021 reads. And it went above and beyond those expectations. Honey Girl is about a lot of things romance, self discovery, friendship and community. And it all landed so beautifully. Also the mental health journey throughout this book not just with the main character Grace but her friends as well is so important and resonated with me deeply. Gosh, I loved this book. Everything about it. If it's not on your TBR already..now is a great time to add it.
