“I-I just thought… With the therions being tied to Innominant, they’d function like we do.” After all, the Kresnik bloodline existed before the therions did. Why would Innominant grant them peaceful ways to deal with malevolence, but then go on to create something so violent? It just didn’t add up. “Are you sure the therions are as violent as you say? ‘Cause the Innominant I know wouldn’t let parts of him actually want to hurt people like that.”
Ignoring the really weird and overly long name, Ludger did pick up on Magilou’s “job”: being a witch. Ludger read a couple storybooks that had witches in it, but he couldn’t begin to guess what a witch would do in real life. He had to ask, “Um… what do you do as a witch, Magilou? I can’t say I’ve ever met a witch before– not in person anyway.”
The witch shrugs, smirking at the other. “Your call whether or not to believe me.” Though she’s not going to mention that those eaten by therions don’t live to tell the tale -- so how exactly would Magilou know? Even without that, it’s still hard to believe anyone but an exorcist is so trusting of Innominat. This guy really doesn’t know what he’s getting into, does he?
“Oh, you know~ Witch things! Casting spells and hexes on unsuspecting travelers...” Weaving stories as wide as a canyon to unquestioning malevolence absorbers, usual things. “We’re a rare kind. I might be the only one you meet!”
