I think Nintendo should hire me I’ve been having recurring dreams about the next animal crossing the prophecy says it will have customizable villager houses in terms of furniture but also shape and size and amount of rooms (same with player houses) multiple separate areas of the town including the town, city, forest and mountains each of which will have spaces for villagers so the max is no longer 10 but 10 in each area of the town, each location will also have unique fish/bugs/gatherables, the mountains also include a mine, there will also be multiple shops with multiple upgrades each and new special characters including a bunny salesman who I remember nothing else about, and finally new villager types including bats, fish, and more and villagers will have better friendship systems, more dialogue and more unique interactions the one downside is there will be less customization of the areas no editing of the environment anywhere but the town and all of the villagers will have yards allotted to their houses so you have to make space for that when moving in villagers to the town
