Well, hello there, friends!!
I can’t believe it’s been so long since I’ve actually sat down and typed up a post. I honestly feel like I don’t know where to start. I’ve missed out on so much! I even missed my one year blogiversary! How crazy? Although I know I don’t need to apologize for not being around lately… I still want to! So if you’re ready… sit back, grab a cup of coffee, and prepare for a semi-long rant/post. First, let’s get into…
So during the last few months, I’ve had lots of stuff going on. I mean a WHOLE LOTS. The main reasons I’ve been MIA from the blogosphere are:
No laptop
Bookstagram
I started my own business
I have just been totally, extremely busy
I could sit and rant for hours about a couple of these points, buuuut…. I won’t. Ok… maybe I’ll rant just a little bit?
Ah, yes. The most frustrating of them all. Having no laptop seriously feels like being stuck on a deserted island with literally nothing. Especially when you can’t blog. Yeah… I had my phone, but anyone who has the WordPress app knows that it stinks and is horrible when it comes to trying to create a new post on it. But my sweet baby MacBook is back in my arms again… thus, here I am! 🙂
Some of you who know me well, know that I’ve been working on upping my bookstagram game. I started doing well for a while… but ended up focusing so much of my time on taking bookish photos, that I literally had time for nothing else. I started repping for some bookish companies, and that requires a certain amount of photos per week. So yeah… bookstagram became my main priority for a while. It still is a huge part of my life, but not to the point that it was before.
That’s right, ladies and gents! I finally did it! Starting my own bookish candle shop has been a dream of mine for quite some time. A dream that I honestly didn’t think was possible. I can’t believe I actually did it! It took a lot of time, effort, and hard work to get my company up and running… which in turn made me set a lot of things aside, including reading (unfortunately). Other than no laptop, being extremely busy played a huge part in why I abandoned blogging for a while. Starting your own business can be very time consuming. Not just starting it, but maintaining it. Keeping up with new ideas and products… keeping the products made, orders shipping out, etc. It can definitely become stressful at times. But… this is even more of a reason why I need blogging back in my life. Blogging is something that I love… something that I find as a stress relief of sorts. And even when I’m super busy like I have been, I need to remember that I can always make time to blog and blog hop!
