The Borderland.
A place between what is, and what should never be.
Where dream bleeds into waking, and the laws of man hold no sway.
You didn’t come here by chance — no one does. Whether by duty, by design, or by disaster, you’ve crossed the Veil.
And now, something’s watching you.
The air hums like a live wire. The lights flicker in patterns that feel… intentional. And somewhere in the distance, you swear you hear music — a radio broadcast whispering your name.
Welcome, traveler.
You’ve entered the Borderland — the city of Edge, and everything that crawls, creeps, and conspires around it.
Before your journey begins, you must decide who you are.
The choice will define what you see… and what sees you.
So...who are you?
A Citizen of Edge
You’re a resident of Edge — one of the many who’ve learned to live among the unnatural.
You know better than to stare too long at the shadows, or ask why your neighbor’s reflection smiles before they do.
You’ve got rent due, a night shift at the market, and a bad feeling that something’s followed you home tonight.
A Bureau Agent
You serve one of the many Bureaus that keep the Borderland from devouring itself — the ECBUP, the ECBLF, or maybe one of the stranger ones they don’t talk about on the records.
You’ve seen too much.
You’ve done worse.
The ink on your most recent case report is still drying — a missing person, or maybe a monster, depending on who filed the paperwork.
A Visitor Who Slipped Through A Rift
You don’t belong here.
One minute you were driving home, or maybe falling asleep at your desk — and the next, the world folded in on itself.
You slipped through a tear in reality.
The air smells wrong. The colors pulse like veins under skin.
There’s a sign nearby, half-rotted and shimmering:
“Welcome to the Borderland. Population: Variable.”
