This is a great routine. I do something similar and now it’s part of my life and on my daily morning schedule. And of course I am a Yoga lover. I can’t live without it. It has not always been like this and I can relate to what it’s like to reach for the iPhone in the morning. It takes focus, dedication and persistence to create a new routine.

YES, I am a nature lover, hiking enthusiast and a Yoga junkie. Lets celebrate this day and be present with who we truly are.
Yea! I am a chapatti / roti lover. And this time around in India I have learnt how to make the best roots and making sabji (vegetables) with all the wonderful medicinal spices. One of the great things about traveling is to experience the amazing traditions and delicious tastes of another country that can take us into another reality and expand our consciousness.
YES, it is my fourth day back and I am integrating the practice into my life. It is another step.
Before I did the silent retreat I invited people to come with me. But it’s not too late to start. Any day is a good day to start. I am continuing to practice the self observation.
Namaste! So far, I have been WALKING INTO IT. BUT from tomorrow afternoon I am going to be DIVING INTO IT. I will be doing a 10 Day Vipassana retreat. The word Vipassana means to look inside. This is a silent retreat without doing anything (no Yoga, no writing, no walking, no internet, no computer, phone or contact with the outside world). Just meditation and self observation. I am looking forward to deepen my meditation practice and to swim in the ocean of the supreme power of consciousness...and to enjoy the spaciousness of stillness and bliss. Just me, my body, mind, soul and the entire universe. I invite you to join me on this adventure. I encourage you to find time and space for silence. Be it 5, 10, 15 or 30 minutes a day. Just find time to be with yourself in silence and stillness. I would really appreciate if you would like to make any comments and feedback here on this page during this time. Lets do this together - wherever you are, you can join me. I will be back after 29th of February and I would love to hear from you. Happiness always :-) :-)
CREATING A DAILY ROUTINE — that feeds our being and purifies our mind takes determination, patience and perseverance. But when we do it, slowly and steadily, the rewards are great. To avoid being hocked into the distractions I do my healthy routine first thing in the morning before doing anything else. Right now my morning routine of meditation and yoga takes two hours, followed by a fruit and sprout breakfast. I just love the vibration of stillness and nature early in the morning. May this inspire you to start or continue your healthy routine. The only thing that works is to DO IT, without thinking about doing it. It's natural to feel resistance so be gentle on yourself, and walk slowly into it.

Walking Into It again recently when I was invited to be an honored guest speaker at the Int Conference on Yoga - Science & Education at Banaras Hindu University - meeting so many wonderful people and new friends. I am grateful for this wonderful opportunity and experience.
Travel and the ultimate hair challenge. As a follow up of the Happy New Year post I must tell you that something was not right with that haircut. Yet I thought I just had to put up with it and let it grow. Well, today I went to a coffee shop and noticed a Hair & Beauty place. I spontaneously thought I would treat myself to a pedicure. Then the lady started looking at my hair and asked if I wanted a haircut. I politely said I had just cut my hair. By who, she asked. 'It has no connection'. I told her the story. After reassuring me that it would not get much shorter, and that it will flow with more connection I was convinced. Why not! Even when we travel for extended periods of time it is important to Connect Focus Flow with our hair. It can be a challenge away from the comfort of home, but at the same time it helps us out of the comfort zone.

It is never too late...Just repeat this over and over in your mind until it is done...then move on to next 'thing', and in the end we realise that there is always something more that drives us towards the ultimate state of being or that 'thing' that we are longing for. JUST ENJOY.

It is time for me to... Please complete the sentence for yourself and if you wish to share it with me privately write me a message. For the last few days (subconsciously) I thought that perhaps I should cut my hair to mark the beginning of 2016 and to welcome the new. I didn't expect that it would happen. Then, today I met a lovely family. Their hospitality was so caring and nurturing. The mother tells me that she has a beauty parlour. She looked at me and said, 'I want to cut your hair.' I uttered, 'okay', and humbly surrendered to the spontanous moment of flow. She took me downstairs and cut my hair as four kids jumped all over me. I am definately in a place of inner calmness and grateful for the amazing Indian hospitality. May we all be blessed by the grace of peace as we open ourselves to the invisible force of WALKING INTO IT.
