This is so true! A lot of the time, I get stuck in a writer’s hole. But whenever I get a comment like the above ones, it makes me want to write more!

wait, why are “please update” “please continue” comments bad? arent they expressing pretty much the same thing, that they like the story and want you to continue with it? i’m confused 😞

the implications with those comments are thst the writer exists only to produce content, and a lot of writers feel upset when demands to update are placed on them. in addition, these comments don’t really tell us what’s good abt the story - it makes us feel like there’s no value in our writing because no reaction has been shared, just a demand.

commenting what you like or what your feelings are has the effect of making us want to continue without feeling like we’re having demands placed on us! :D
