Summary:
   Every year, courting season follows a strict schedule. Castiel might appreciate the routine, but heâs hardly looking forward to facing it. Now at an age where itâs obligatory to get at least one yearâs attendance under his belt, Castiel and his fraternal twin brother embark on their first series of courting season events. They span an entire month in the spring, dominating the weekends. Starting with three days allowing Alphas to showcase themselves, followed by two days that allow Omegas to do the same. The third and final weekend culminates in a single event: the Chase.
   Castiel intends to just go through the motions, but gets swept up in it all. Thatâs the point of all this after all, to tap into their instincts, forge some sort of connection before the Alphas are turned loose on them. Something made abundantly clear when his offerings for their Bakeoff are blatantly vandalized. As dangerously inept he can be in the kitchen, despite all efforts to the contrary, at least thereâs one thing he can get right. Pies are nothing special, why he made cobblers the first time, but at least he wonât have an empty booth to offer them. Surely someone wonât mind painfully mundane apple pies, right?
