#injuries happen to the most seasoned athlete! Respect the injury and the warning it brings. RICE it: #Rest #Ice #Compress #elevate. I did all those things immediately after a bad #eversionroll and 4 days later the #swelling is almost gone and the #bruising is minimal. #staystrong #letitheal now it's time for #upperbody and #abs 👍 #activelifestyle #neverstop #fitashellat50 a big thanks to @californiaelci for being a stellar nurse one day 1 and 2 after injury!

I taught a #vinyasa flow class tonight @brightheartyogastudio with the theme of "can you see the Light in the unknown". I pushed them to try things outside their comfort zone. I challenged them to explore things they had never explored. I held them in #sideplank for at least 10 breaths! Finally came the sweet #surrender of #savasana. #getoutofyourcomfortzone #mixthingsup #freeyourmind #youhavenolimits #yoga #yogaworks #keepmoving

A great morning of #outdoortraining in preparation for #spartansuper in July. I happened upon a #twistedankle while #running, it looked lonely, so I brought home with me. (#iamsonice) Luckily I carry a first aid backpack in "Pearl" (my truck) and was able to wrap it right away. Found some ice and applied that as well. Once home my honey-mama, @californiaelci, put an #icebucket (a lot melted before I took the pic) together so I could deep soak the ankle. #sheissonice #iamsolucky #ithappens #abeautifuldayforanijury
