"I've spent the past forty eight hours dying in a hospital and you're curled up in bed?"
Cora scoffed, stretching out a hand towards the wall to keep herself balanced. Maybe checking herself out of the hospital against orders wasn't the best of ideas after all.

"You think leaving the hospital is the best plan right now?"
The skeptical look on her face probably said more than her words did. She looked half dead already, and - werewolf or not - Lydia had a feeling she was better off in a hospital than in some unfurnished, dirty apartment with no medical experts anywhere nearby.
Then again, Cora wasn’t really her problem. She had family for that. And speaking of her family —
"You Hales are like, experts in all things supernatural, right?
"I think it's none of your business."
If you looked up the definition of stubborn in the dictionary, you would find Cora's name underneath it. She wouldn't listen to Derek when he told her she should be healing instead of exercising and she certainly wasn't going to listen to the girl whose plaything had put her in the damn hospital to begin with.
"I wouldn't exactly say experts, but we know enough. Why?"
The other girl had caught Cora's attention now. Why was she suddenly interested in all things supernatural?

"Any luck finding him yet?"
"Do you see him anywhere?"
"It looks a little like you are dying in a dingy hospital."
She stared at the other girl, who looked worse than she had the other day. Which was surprising, all things considered; Lydia had been fairly certain that ‘half beaten to death by an Alpha werewolf’ was about as bad as she could get.
"No offense, of course."
"Not for much longer."
She pulled herself upright — slowly — not wanting to show how weak and feeble she really felt in front of the red head. There was no doubt in her mind that if Lydia caught her so much as stumble, that she'd run and tell Stiles who would relay the information back to Derek.
And that was so the last thing she needed right now. An over protective and bearing brother? No thanks.
"Did you want something?"

Slowly, wanting to test her own motor skills, Cora lifted her arm into view and flexed her fingers. Everything was in working order — apart from her head. The pain had subsided for the most part, but there was still an aching reminder in her frontal lobes of the events that had occurred in the locker room not forty-eight hours ago.
