dxrkqueenlilithâ:
âA mutually beneficial agreement, huh?â Jack said as he lowered his weapon, causing it to vanish. âI donât recall you being in the position to make such a demand.â
Despite her display of power, he wasnât impressed. Not because it wasnât powerful, but more because he just didnât care that much. It wasnât his goddamn job to be impressed by little girls wielding magical powers. That was the job of other simps. He was much too busy simping another fucking woman in the room to even consider entertaining the idea of reacting with awe to Rosa.
âTell you what. You put the flashy colors away and weâll talk. I canât take you fucking seriously when you look like a magical girl reject. As much as I want my lady here to have ultimate power in this partnership, I realize that it doesnât work that way. So hopefully we can work some magic.â
Lilith was about to interject but Jack covered her mouth with his right hand before shooting her a glare that silenced her.
Make a scene now and itâll all be for nought. So shut the fuck up and let a mature adult handle it.
âNow then.â He said as he took a seat in front of her desk. âCare to tell me exactly what you have in mind?â
No, she certainly wasnât in any position to make any demands. Not in the least. In fact, her mind was basically on fire. It was the calming inner voice of Virizion that kept her looking outwardly put-together, the Swordâs guiding voice that had pushed her to make the demand when she did. She had learned to trust the legendâs advise, even if it sounded like she would be getting herself in deeper trouble. Even so... she couldnât disagree with the results.Â
It really was much more amusing this way. This Jack, this Lilith... it didnât take a degree in shience to know that these two were much, much more than they seemed. Very few people could manifest weapons from nothing, and dispose of them just as quickly. Maybe theyâd be strong enough...
She allowed the power to fade away, reduced to nothing more than the voice of her partner whispering into her mind. The sword and outfit faded in a flash green leaf-like energy, and the springtime breeze that was blowing through the room vanished. It was still once more.
âIâm glad that you decided to see reason, Mr. Manager~,â she smiled brightly, acting as if nothing nearly as fantastical and downright near-violent had happened between them. âI can understand your want for your... client... to have what she wants, but a sudden shift like that would be far too obvious, and I think you both know this. You want Lilithâs rise to... stardom... to be subtle. You of course wouldnât want other... actresses... getting wind of her rise.â The code may not have been necessary, but she was sticking to it.Â
âI propose slowed integration. Your... employees could be slowly added to the staff here, mingling with the current employees. We may even be able to gather other trainers to our cause, should they be trustworthy enough.â She scratched her chin, choosing not to imagine the beard that wasnât there, as this was serious business. âI have many contacts throughout the region. Any number of them could be useful in this endeavor. Now I realize this will put a lot of power in your hands eventually, like you requested, but I hope you know that I want something in exchange. I request that our team take measures to ensure that no other âorganizationsâ can rise in the future. And current ones should be... suppressed.â
Her blue eyes narrowed.Â
âThere is one other thing that I want.âÂ
An uncharacteristic venom dripped from the kind girlâs lips.Â
âI want Ghetsis to die.â
