At my last bourbon tasting (buffalo trace), gems from the distillers notes include: saddle leather, ricola, and mulled vanilla.

Its my Christmas whiskey. I made it 20 days without opening it!

Can I just communicate how much I love the Hudson company,…everything I’ve had from them has been amazing.

This has a bright even alcohol smell that was just a bit heavy on the barley. For me it stuck out a little further than the other grains. There was very little taste on the front of the tongue, but a good tingle on the lips. Mid palate flavor for me was reminiscent of oats, which was not one of the grains used…but that’s what I tasted. A brief burn came next which gently brought me back down to a rye finish. Its a very unique blend

A Jack Daniels specialty Angelo Lucchesi!!!

This is the first time I’ve had this in a few years and it lives up to my memory.

It has a sweet corn aroma that lightly tickles the nose. The body of this has a mellow vanilla start with a gentle corn finish. Much smoother than a regular Jack Daniels. If you can find a reasonably priced bottle of this, I highly suggest it.
