That was an interesting year, sort of a re-boot for M fans. I got the CD as soon as it came out, and I remember listening to it into my room, “digesting” the new sound, though Frozen, Candy Perfume Girl etc

“Nah, I like it. It’s different”

Or something of the kind... like when your parents try to comment on the music you listen you. You see it as an invasion of your space, your bedroom and the space in your head.

Ok, so Neneh kind of intimidated me back in the 90s... it’s the buffalo stance effect I guess. She was awesome, brilliance in trainers, golden hoops.

Me and my friends bought her Homebrew album for one of the girls in our gang. Neneh still intimidated me - she even looked fierce with a towel wrapped around her head, whilst carrying a baby.... #manchild. Secretly I loved her.
