OMG this is so accurate! As someone who's literally Amy Rose AND Lisa Simpson AND Hermione Granger, I get this SO MUCH.

People don't understand how exhausting it is to have these memories and experiences constantly flooding my consciousness. When I was Lisa as president, I had to deal with TRAs who couldn't stop making everything about themselves. They'd invade women's spaces, demand attention, and then act victimized when called out. Sound familiar?

And don't even get me started on my Amy kin! The number of times I've had to explain that NO, I don't need Sonic, that I'm my own person with my own identity... it's endless. But some people just can't comprehend that others might have experiences outside their own narrow worldview.

My Hermione memories are filled with dealing with people who couldn't respect boundaries either. Always trying to erase my contributions, always centering themselves in narratives where they didn't belong.

Even my Meg kin - though I don't like to talk about it much - shows how people will force themselves into spaces and identities that don't belong to them, then demand everyone else validate their choices.

Being otherkin means constantly having your reality questioned, constantly having to defend experiences that are as real to me as anyone else's. The parallels between how TRAs behave and how people treat otherkin are uncanny.

It's like, if you're constantly making everything about yourself and demanding validation from others, maybe the problem isn't them - it's you.
