Crescent lake is a peaceful, isolated town. It is a place where you can feel safe. The neighbours have no secrets and the children stay out until dark. Nothing bad ever happens in Crescent Lake.

The Clarets are the perfect family in Crescent Lake. As ancestors of the founders, they live in the big, beautiful house, surrounded by forest on the other side of the lake. But the Clarets have secrets the rest of the town don't know.            Until now.

 Now, at the annual summer Lake Party, Malia Claret has gone missing and her twin sister, India, is left with her family falling apart and their secrets spilling out. As India delves deeper into the mystery surrounding Malia's disappearance, she realises that in a town where she thought she could trust everyone, she might not be able to trust anyone at all.
