““Die mad about it” is my favorite shade ever. Now stop making women justify wanting birth control coverage because of all the other health care benefits the Pill has.”
At Target this lady told her son he couldn’t have a Wonder Woman doll because “that’s for girls” and then bought her daughter the same one. It got me thinking about how often I see people bar young boys from appreciating girls/women as protagonists and heroes, and my own experience with it as a kid.

WOW. Watch these 3 minutes from Dallas sportscaster Dale Hansen talking about what Trump doesn’t understand about the national anthem and the right to protest. Compare this to any right-wing media whining and that’s why this is one to remember.
Dale Hansen is a fucking treasure. He admitted he was a childhood victim of sexual abuse in the hopes that it would encourage others to come forward and seek help. He has been an ardent supporter of scholar-athletes and of gay players in the NFL and of trans athletes.
“I’m not always comfortable when a man tells me he is gay; I don’t understand his world. But I do understand that he is part of mine.”
me: i want more friends! me, actually talking to a new person: this is so stressful i’m going to fucking Die, i have to flee the country and fake my own death

13 years ago today, Pepsi’s Super Bowl commercial starring Beyoncé, BritneySpears, Pink & Enrique Iglesias was premiered. #PepsiGladiators
Damn these were simpler times
so lemme break this down
-lord caesar iglesias, who does not sing in this musical commercial, has captured britney spears, pink, and beyonce to battle it out gladiator style -our trio decides instead of fighting, they will instead rock so hard that the audience forgets about their battle to the death -their musical prowess is so damn powerful they rock the foundation of the earth and overthrow caesar iglesias along with his stash of ancient roman pepsi -beyonce, britney spears, and pink drink pepsi while the audience cheers -enrique iglesias is eaten by a lion

Norwegian artist Rune Guneriussen (previously here and here) moves elements of domestic life into the outdoors, producing large installations built from books, lamps, and other displaced objects. His works are placed in remote areas of Norway’s forest, and either balance precariously in a selected location or illuminate a particular patch of the surrounding wooded environment.

We could probably build one of these in the Fresh Air offices we have so many books!
