Mary's Deli wasn't particularly booming with people most days. In fact, on most days Reyna was lucky if she saw ten people by the end of the day. But despite the fact it was always slow, she didn't mind. Being at work gave her something to do, something to look forward to even, and that was better than a day spent at home alone any day. With a small smile, she pulled out her notepad and her pen, watching as the other tossed the paper on the ground. "What can I get you started with?" she asked, though it was genuine the question almost felt rehearsed. "My suggestion would be the coffee flavor of the month. We've only got about a week left before it's gone until next year." she shrugged. Offering the other a small smile again, she looked back at the paper on the ground and let herself sigh. "Also, I know you didn't ask for this, but might I suggest that whatever it is you're working on, just start writing? Even if it's just 'I don't know what to say' the words will come to you."
The crumpled paper annoyed Scarlett. She didn't let things go wrong for her. It drove her crazy, she was supposed to be the best at everything and how could a simple letter trip her up like this. Only once she she surrendered to failure, and that time had led her to this cafe and this discarded sheet. She was so lost in thought that it took her a few seconds to realize that the question was directed at her. "Yes, yes, I would take one." she didn't even ask what the flavor of the month was, but that didn't really matter to her right now. Scarlett was ready to tear off a new sheet of paper and start over, but the brunette's words made her laugh. "It sounds simple, but is it really applicable. I've always thought that serious letters need serious preparation. But maybe I'm not the person to speak on this subject." she said pointing to the blank piece of paper.
