#unchained love #it's a shame about the censors because i think the most interesting aspect of this drama is by far how it treats its heroine and her desire #and also in general the lead couple's desire #because these last episodes that have aired are quite clear about how much they like making out #and seeing sex not being treated as a hidden thing that's just hinted and not displayed #but instead as something playful and joyous between a couple #i like it a lot #but yeah it's complicated for cdramas to be allowed to air that #the production team is really praiseworthy for attempting this and also for adapting the book to fit their vision #because if memory serves me right the book version of their first sexual intercourse was not lovely at all #and the production team made the choice to treat both characters as healthy adults who both get to make a choice about it #the heroine this way gets back her agency and i love it

#alchemy of souls #i am not that mad about naksu' sword remaining in uk's hands #i think there's a lot about it that's interesting #there's the thing about it being the sword which stabbed him - stabbed his body - killed him #in a way for me it's like she relinquished it to him when she killed him with it #i also like that she relinquishes her identity as naksu and i think it goes well with the fact he's the one who keeps using her sword #i think the writing is very light in some points but the idea is interesting still #it could have been a whole different story about her reclaiming her identity as a warrior and an assassin #and i would have like it too #but they choose a different route for her #and i like it as well #it's just a shame they didn't make season 2 about two or three episodes longer #because some points ought to have way more developped #but still it was an entertaining watch and i liked it
