The nightmares of Charley Pollard, the Eighth Doctor and C’rizz.
For writtendark, Zagreus wondering what you are doing aboard the TARDIS aboARD THE SHIP (for those who don’t know, I have this headcanon that Zagreus!Eight almost constantly stays in weird, unnatural postures like that. And yes he’s actually standing on a wall there).
✨ claims to be pro-time, gets zagreus-ed anyway ✨

it's almost summer do you guys want my stupid hyperoptimized lemonade recipe that takes half a day to make and whips absolute ass
Fruited Lemonade That Makes You Reconsider It All
ingredience:
lemons/limes (this needs to make up the bulk of the fruit being used, like at least 80%)
whatever other fruits or fruit scraps you want, plus any herbs/other flavorings you want to try. by fruit scraps I mean things like cherry pits, apple peels, pineapple cores, strawberry ends, things like that.
granulated white sugar, the coarser the better, 50% by weight of total citrus rinds + 100% by weight of any additional fruit. you'll measure this after you prep the fruit.
water as needed
equipment:
a few nonmetallic mixing bowls
a mesh strainer
a chinoise, ricer or some cheesecloth
a kitchen scale
a citrus juicer or reamer (manual or electric)
a potato masher
juice the citrus through a strainer - saving all rinds - and refrigerate the juice for the time being. dice the rinds and other fruits if any, keeping the rinds separate. make note of weights, and measure your sugar.
Place sugar in a large nonmetallic bowl. If using non-citrus fruits and/or any other flavorings, mix them in with the sugar and mash with potato masher. add diced citrus rinds, mix thoroughly, and mash again. cover and let stand at room temperature for at least 4 hours. this allows the sugar to draw out flavors that would otherwise get discarded with the rinds, and the rinds' acids should be enough to dissolve the sugar into a syrup.
Afterward, mash one last time, then collect the syrup by pressing the macerated mixture through a strainer/chinoise or ricer, or squeeze it through cheesecloth. if you want, this can be saved as a standalone syrup at this point, for use in cocktails or desserts. if not, slowly pour the reserved juice through the solids to to help get the remaining syrup out, and squeeze/press again. do the same thing one more time with warm water (roughly the same amount of water as juice). discard solids (or try making sangria with them!).
taste the mixture and add more water if necessary. a stronger mix is totally fine if you anticipate serving over ice on a hot day, or adding booze, or if there was a lot of non-sour fruit. keep in mind that it will taste a bit less sweet once it's chilled. pour into a pitcher and refrigerate.
citrus oils will float to the top, so stir/shake before serving. love you. enjoy.
some tried and true flavor combos:
straight lemon or lime, or any combination of the two, is of course an untouchable classic
lemon & strawberries (that's pussy babe!)
lemon & orange with a hint of vanilla (creamsiclemonade...?)
lemon & apples or apple peels with cinnamon/ginger/allspice (for late summer)
some cocktail type combos, booze optional:
lemon or lime & berries with basil + gin
lime & mint + white rum
lime & ginger + dark rum
lime & cucumber + gin
lime & orange (berries optional) + tequila
lemon, orange & cherry + brandy, bourbon, or rye whiskey
holy gods
So within the universe of Undertale, is it possible that the concept of Hell and the Devil is a very distorted cultural memory of Asgore and the monsters beneath Mt. Ebott?
Like Asgore of course, being a goat monster armed with a pitchfork/trident has a striking resemblance to the classic pop culture version of the Devil and he rules over a bunch of inhuman monsters underground.
We know very little about humanity as a whole in Undertale, the origin of such concepts is not something easy to determinate.
There are a few details that can be relevant to this such as the fact that in the game files, the sound of the bell that rings in the final corridor is called "churchbell"
I don’t think Kris is having a good time having someone or something dictate all of their and their friends’ actions, not really caring how they feel about it
I drew a little something for the Hiveworks micro comic summer~

Working on a new Planescape campaign; Door to Dolores
I put most of the info I came up for it on reddit but most of the people there are… narrow minded at best. So I'ma copy stuff over here.
So the primary idea for the adventure is based on this one old Polyhedron article and picture that went with it, as well as a disgusting amount of research into The Lady of Pain and her origins not just in setting but as a character.
Basically, when The Lady of Pain decided to spare the child (her name being Dolores) on that mythical day, she was actually selected to be her successor; The Child of Pain. She's then taken by Dabus' and pampered by The Lady, a ritual taking place to attempt to ascend her with the pains of the multiverse that The Lady herself exudes; Misery, Agony, Aguish, and Despair. However this ritual went wrong, destroying Dolores' body but trapping her soul within Sigil and The Outlands to reincarnate endlessly. With each new incarnation The Lady of Pain has tried again and again, fine tuning the ritual in the hope of getting it right and having the daughter she so desperately wants.
So that's essentially the set up, the adventure starting with the party discovering the current incarnation of Dolores and effectively adopting her as she slowly develops her LoP powers. I think it could be a really fun adventure with some heartwarming bits and a heart-wrenching ending planned, but I wanna know what kinda stuff around Sigil/The Outlands that could gel well with it. The best I've thought of, with the limited knowledge I've been able to research, is a few of the factions that would have any amount of interest in Dolores being a thing;
Athar; cause she’s proof that the gods aren’t the only way to power
Doomguard; cause she’s allowing The Lady of Pain to cheat entropy
Fated; cause she’s the ultimate prize to control Sigil
Fraternity of Order; cause they keep records on everything
Heralds of Dust; cause she’s died so many times they’d be fascinated by her
Mind’s Eye; cause she’s the realization of their ideas
Incanterium; cause she’d be how they might siphon Sigil of magic
With all this kinda laid out and me being kinda stuck in how I wanna run the adventure, I humbly ask any planar scholars on here that know more of the setting if you've got some fun lore bits or anything else that could make this adventure more fun. Anything that could help is appreciated! ^w^
Here then is Dolores' statblock that I made
Been working a lot more on this and peeps on reddit have been much more helpful so this getting a reblog reminds me I should share the list of posts I've been making as I develop the adventure, which I'm gonna be running soon thankfully! OwO
