“sorry -- excuse me. would you happen to know where uh ---” afet looked down at her purse, grabbing a paper from inside of it. “yemaya fox’s office is?” afet didn’t want to be late. she had enough time left to find the other woman’s office ---- if she could find it, that is. “it’s just that --- it’s my first day and i have no idea where anyone’s office, to be honest but. one thing at a time, i guess.” she smiled softly, pushing her hair behind her ears. “it would mean a lot to me if you could help.”
east:
east absolutely wasn’t doing his ( prospective ) job, but he was still having fun … in his brain. he giggled to himself before attempting to capture the attention of the first person he saw. “ hello! ” his british accent piped happily from behind the reception desk, chin in the palm of his lightly tattooed hand, “ how are you? also … can i share an idea? ” the man grinned, excited to share his, in his mind, phenomenal idea.
“hello.” she was extremely tired. but she figured that was the norm when you had to rush into work after you get kicked out of your apartment. she couldn’t lose this job. she needed it. “i’m great.” she lied, hoping the smile she gave him was genuine enough. then again, he had no idea who she was so he probably wouldn’t be too concerned to notice she wasn’t telling the truth. plus, he seemed really excited to share whatever it was he wanted to, so that too could have how she was really feeling go completely unnoticed by him. “sure, you can. what is the idea about?”
𝐀𝐅𝐄𝐓𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐉𝐈𝐕𝐄: is anyone searching for a roommate? or knows anyone who is? let me know as soon as you possibly can. please. thank you.

yemaya’s eyes raised and her eyes shone with genuine excitement for him. whatever he wanted to say to her obviously made him happy, and who didn’t love to see someone else happy when they spoke? especially about something they were passionate about. she was really looking forward to what he had to say. “what is it?” she tilted her head slightly. “well? tell me.”

“sure.” adonis watched the man curiously. he seemed super excited about whatever it was that he wanted to talk about, and adonis knew that he couldn’t be a complete arse and deny the man the chance to express himself. who would do something like that anyway? “i’m all ears, mate. what’s the idea?”
minnie:
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑 𝐅𝐈𝐄𝐋𝐃𝐒 had been as comforting as promised. in fact, they were still camped out nearby, having given into oliver’s insistence that they actually go out and enjoy something. she’d never thought she’d see the day when those roles were reversed, but given the week she’d had, she was sure it was part of his plan to cheer her up. and it’d worked, because she already felt better, even if that just meant laying in the sun and doing nothing. she’s jogged over to the small stand selling popsicles, eager given the hot weather, but the corners of her mouth turn down when she sees someone familiar. " of course, for a big city, new york is horribly small. " the last thing she’d wanted to do was run into anyone from masters. especially when they were ordering the last of the flavour she wanted. " you know, i was here first. and i really want that one. "
“oh, i’m sorry. didn’t see you there.” yemaya apologized a second time. when she was handed the popsicle, she turned and handed it over to minnie. “this one’s on me.” yemaya wasn’t one who usually ended up on someone’s bad side or in their bad book. she was nice. she was probably the nicest person who worked at masters --- so whenever someone would respond to her in a way that would imply she stepped on their toes, she was always taken aback. so --- when minnie got down on her in the general chat she was surprised to say the least but --- it was water under the bridge, for yemaya, anyway. “i’ll just get something else.”
giselle:
* ⸻ GISELLE COULDN’T WAIT for the weekend , and her perfectly manicured nails impatiently tapped on the desk as she just wished it to be lunchtime already . “ oh ! good morning ! ” , her eyes shifted from the screen of her computer to the person passing by , but a frown quickly formed in her face . “ you don’t look great . ” , her words might have sounded a bit harsh , but it was true . they didn’t look their best . “ are you sick or did you have a big night last night ? ” , while she was suggestive , she still wore a straight face , blinking her eyes almost innocently .
yemaya? having a big night? that was completely laughable. “was up all night working on something, didn’t really get to rest much.” she sighed then shrugged her shoulders. after griffin had ruined her documents, she had spent the entire night working on it so she wasn’t later than she had to be in handing it in. she pursed her lips. did she look that out of it? “good morning.” she smiled, embarrassed that she had forgotten her manners.

adonis had no idea what was in the air at masters. everyone was just always so on edge. he couldn’t understand it. yes. people’s secrets were being revealed against their will, randomly and without warning. but --- still. he hated how he and minnie had exchanged somewhat heated words. he had thought that they were friends. he even wanted to reach out to her to offer up his place until she got on her feet, but she never responded to his message, so he wasn’t even able to offer. she’d probably turn it down, anyway. he thought about that when he heard her voice, and he raised his hands in mock surrender. “it’s all yours.” he ordered something different, and even took a step aside so minnie could step forwards.
@𝐁𝐔𝐁𝐁𝐋𝐄𝐆𝐔𝐌𝐁𝐈𝐓𝐂𝐇: i look like yes, and you look like no🖤
hanbin:
hanbin’s hands stretch themselves out then , and he takes a casual sip from the straw in his can of watermelon red bull . ‘ see , retracing steps will always save you in the end . ’ he chuckles softly then , and drags his fingers through his hair . hanbin definitely should be writing a recipe for a video due to be posted later in the day , but he’d much rather ignore his responsibilities . ‘ sure . ’ he pops up from his seat . ‘ that depends on where you’re planning on taking me . i don’t know if you know this , but my palette is kinda picky . ’
𝐀𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐒 𝐇𝐔𝐌𝐌𝐄𝐃 𝐒𝐎𝐅𝐓𝐋𝐘 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐏𝐔𝐑𝐒𝐄𝐃 𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐋𝐈𝐏𝐒. "𝐔𝐇𝐌𝐌𝐌." adonis shrugged his shoulders. “i guess you’re right. hopefully it is there, though. but i won’t really get my hopes up.” adonis really didn’t want to set himself up for any disappointment. “well, where is it you’d like to go?” he tilted his head to the side slightly, wondering what hanbin’s response would be.
allison:
Honestly, Allison was still trying to get comfortable with the idea that someone was just trying to be nice for the sake of being nice. Especially someone who barely knew her as more than a coworker. But Allison had already done enough embarrassing herself for one day, so she would take the kindness at face value. “Oh, god, I barely know the names of any places yet. But Chinese kind of sounds good if you know anywhere.” It was a go to comfort food in college. Plus, usually the only places open late enough to be able to get substantial food from as late as Allison usually worked.
"𝐋𝐔𝐂𝐊𝐘 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐘𝐎𝐔, 𝐈 𝐃𝐎 𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐀 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐘 𝐆𝐎𝐎𝐃 𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐄 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐄." he nodded, “or i can take you somewhere else?” he shrugged. he just wanted her to relax somewhat. work and stress never mixed well together. it offered too many distractions, and he was sure that their work couldn’t afford any of those.
