Saw another idiotic post
about how a relationship between “someone in college and someone in their 30s” is inappropriate.  Because “you’re in totally different life stages, different levels of maturity!” <-- that argument doesn’t hold once a person is well out of the teen years (~21+).  Also, it’s crap.  Why is being at different like points always a bad thing?  My man is settled into a long-term career, I’m just starting mine... where’s the problem?  We’ve never run into one.Â
Also if “maturity,” just means life experience & lessons learned, I’ll let y’all in on a little secret... it doesn’t have everything to do with age. I’m the younger one and, tbh, I’m the more worldly one in my age gap relationship. Â
And it makes me laugh how many people IN THEIR 20S consider 30 to be “older.”  How embarrassing.  If you’re so off track to adulthood at age 23 or 24 that you have nothing in common with a 30 y/o, you might need to reevaluate your life. Â
Stop spitting back what you’ve heard all your life about age gap relationships and actually use your brain.  If you think about it and still don’t agree, COOL, DON’T BE IN ONE!  But don’t presume to understand the reasons behind a relationship between two proper adults. Â
Anyway, I know I’m preaching to the choir here.  Love ya.
