I WILL SAY THAT JJBA DOES GET GOOD mostly because I used to have the same perspective as you with it, I thought part 1 was slog and as funny part 2 is(and overwhelmingly better than the former) it GENUINELY gets better. the whole wait will pay of because how so much of the new parts build on the last, and you can realistically watch part 3 and others in isolation(granted you will be very confused but eh) and still enjoy them

also kadio from Sakik k(nice pfp btw) does one of the characters’ poses(Caesar’s) and referenced an ability once(which I won’t mention because its a spoiler)

Realistically, yeah it probably does, its just my open mind about these things has been closed because I slogged through one piece, and for the kaido thing im pretty sure multiple characters in saiki k reference jjba at some point. I probably will watch it at some point since its one of the highest rated animes, but than again so is op.

I hate when anime takes so long to get good, that stalkholm syndrome starts taking place. Like. "One piece takes 900 episodes to get good", it doesn't. I watched 914 and I still hate it. Because of this, I avoid shows that 'take a while to get good'. Like I've gotten a lot of jjba recommendations, but I've heard it takes 3 seasons to get good. I dont wanna watch 3 seasons of a show I dont like. (I've already finished s1, which is why im not going to s3)

Alr, miles in the comics pmo so much. He has more potential than megumi himself to be a good character in the comics. And he succeeded in the animated movies which is why I enjoy them, but in the comics, the writers aren't focused on Spiderman, they aren't focused on miles, or story, BROTHER. Movie miles was so good, and yet comic miles is genuinely just a horrible person, he becomes Spiderman because he stole from Peter after he died, he constantly fought with a different peter competing over who the better Spiderman was when he was first introduced, (not in character for peter) miles comic writers were so ASS that they managed to affect a different spidermans personality, in the comics miles isn't trying to live up to peter, he firmly believes he's better than peter, he's a cocky prick and doesn't feel like Spiderman at all. Movie miles genuinely carries miles imo, he's second place in my Spiderman rankings because of the movies, in the comics he's so BAD as a character that when they made him thor they made him graffiti mholjner, AND HE STILL CARRIED IT, thats not how any of that works and its pmo
