So. The American Revolution. Women. Anna Maria Lane, Margaret Corbin, Anne Bailey, Anne Smith, Deborah Samson, Hannah Snell, Sally St. Claire, Molly McCauley, Nancy Hart, Deborah Champion, Sara Decker, Linda Darraugh. There's your historical accuracy. There's your plot. There is no excuse.

Okay but what about the assassians creed on ps vita? There was a female lead..but we're still bitching so im confused. The story is for HIS ancestors. Thats not an excuse, thats the story. Its a video game, not a textbook

considering this is ASSASSINS CREED we’re talking about, a series that has had a FUCKTON of historical inaccuracies, a plot centered on a man learning the skills of his ancestors through a chair that lets him live their lives, and gods trying to destroy the world, i’d say Assassins creed is SUPER realistic, and requires its history to be 100% REAL and UNCHANGED. because altair, ezio and connor were all real and existed in history right?

Because I clearly stated the whole game was historically accurate…the game is MODERATELY (since I have to spell it the fuck out for you) based off of the American Revolution so a women protag would in no case make sense ever. Women weren’t doing shit like this back then. Women couldn’t fight in wars back then. Ubisoft does not owe you bitches shit. They’ve made games with female protags before but god forbid you dont get everything you want. IT WOULD FUCK UP THE WHOLE STORY OF THE GAME.

Video games are never 100% realistic so why does there HAVE to be women of the revolution in it? I've taken multiple history classes but thanks! Just enjoy the game for what it is instead of nitpicking it for no logical reason. So heres a lesson for you, take a marketing class. It's about salesssss. The target audience is male so you put a male main character in so it will appeal to men. Lets look at cooking mama. The target audience is girls so you put a girl in for the main character so girls will play it. Video games are not to be bias to politics. They're for entertainment and to SELL. If ya don't like that theres no women, dont fuckin play it.

so people were (rightly) annoyed at Ubisoft for the whole “woulda been too hard to make a female character for our game rather than copy pasting a white man 4 times” bullshit, but it seems everyone missed this little bit from 2 years ago.

it’s not just that ubisoft isn’t including women in unity, it’s also that they’re all white and ac3 may have been pretty lacking with women but the main character was a man of color and that’s important??
