-finally after months of stressful and frantic negotiations, and dangerous war duties prior to that, you and Armin have time to yourselves, for the first time in years really, and you almost don’t know what to do with the freedom.

-armin loves to go on walks and hikes, exploring the nature trails and seeing the beauty of the mainland.

-it’s incredibly relaxing, talking with him, and for the first time in a long time, you find yourself starting to loosen up, relax. Knowing that the struggles are over lifts a burden off your shoulders, and when Armin attends a meeting that you aren’t present at, you don’t have to worry about something happening, about never seeing him again

-it’s a comforting feeling, something you’ve never felt before, and so on walks through flower fields and past waterfalls, you finally allow yourself the luxury of talking about the future.

-Armin is eager to get married, it’s something he’s dreamed about for years, but never thought it could become reality due to the nature of your jobs.

-but if marriage is something you’re interested in, he’ll be proposing at the first chance he gets. -and even if you‘re not quite ready, he’s still understanding of that

-you both have lots of trauma, (obviously) but it’s something that the two of you are learning to live with, learning to heal from.
