68-year-old Tamara Samsonova is a recently-caught Russian serial killer dubbed as ‘’Granny the Ripper’’. She was arrested in September 2015 on the suspicion of killing up to 11 people over the course of two decades. Police found a diary detailing how she ate the body parts of her victims whom she hacked up, one of the entries reading: ‘’I killed my tenant Volodya, cut him to pieces in the bathroom with a knife and put the pieces of his body in plastic bags and threw them away in the different parts of Frunzensky District.’’ Tamara admitted to authorities that she drugged her 79-year-old roommate, which caused her to collapse on the floor, after she stated that she no longer wished to share an apartment with her. Tamara had then cut her up into pieces and boiled the severed head. CCTV footage caught Tamara carrying the head of her final victim in a sauce pan, which led to her capture.

In court after being remanded in custody,Tamara told assembled journalists, ‘’I knew you would come.’’ She later blew a kiss.
