Eye detail from a recent commission - I can’t show the full drawing yet because it is a gift for their SO but I wanted to share this detail. It’s been a while since I worked in graphite and I remembered just how much I love the nuance of this medium! I just ordered a larger claybord for a graphite drawing too after doing my little figure sketch on a 5x7” claybord. The smooth surface is just perfect for working in graphite. What’s on your easel? I’ve finally finished the entire second pass of grisaille in this 16x20” still-life painting. I’m really excited to begin color layers for the class. For those wondering - I am using a burnt umber by @gamblincolors and @blueridgeoilcolors Flemish White, as well as the @trekell_art_supplies oil primed acm panel & opal brushes from my brush set with them.
