I wouldnât be shocked, I am the type of person to end up haunted.
But I think it be cool story? But maybe you lightly bumped it once and didnt think of it. Who knows.Â
I did actually try my hand at some vegan versions of the pumpkin chocolate chip cookies! So if you are interested in some of those, please let me know, Brighton!Â
You did? thatâs great! Iâd love to give them a try. Because they sound good.Â
I have baked a pretty big variety of cookies today, so needless to say- itâs been a productive day in my book. I couldnât decide between a few so I made pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, cheesecake stuffed snickerdoodles, and appledoodles! The apartment smells delightful! If anyone would like some, I have made⊠way too many!Â
Sounds like you had a busy day but thatâs fun. Iâd love too but I donât know if you made a vegan one at all? But even if so thatâs okay glad you had some fun baking.Â
So I am finding way more mystery bruises than normal- Is it really getting that cold? I get more when itâs cold. It doesnât feel that cold, but I am also from a place where is snows, like, ten months out of the year, so I might not feel it yet.
Like, I have this one bruise on my thigh that looks like I ran into a countertop or doorknob, and I⊠havenât? Fucking weird, dudeâŠ
Maybe a ghost punched you in the leg?Â
The place must not be very reliable if they make a mistake this huge⊠honestly, where did you order from? I will start to call around as wellâŠ
Excuse you, itâs the same place you ordered it before. Since i did remember you said you liked the place.  But Iâve been calling around itâs really hard to find one right now.Â
Oh⊠I understand now. That is a difficult mistake to make, though it must be very hectic this time so human error is valid. Do they sell vegan turkeys like regular ones in the store, where you buy them and cook them yourself?
I donât know how they did it, like I fee l like itâs a big mistake too. Like what if someone didnât notice and ate it? But now I got real bird in my fridge and itâs freaking me out. They did both and it was normally great but this time a big no.Â
You had one job, Brighton⊠we both agreed to give Dads a break this year. I already made my sides, but now do I have to step in to save the vegan turkey as well?!
Oh yes I fully planned on them to send me the wrong thing. I ordered it over a month ago to make sure I got one. I called them and they said they were out of vegan ones now. Iâm trying to find another one but itâs hard right now.Â
Oh no, what was wrong with the turkey? Iâm sorry to hear youâve run into an issue with it. Are you able to replace it, or did you have it specially ordered?Â
It was a real turkey so thatâs the real issue with it. Like I had find a place that made them and ordered it a month ago and they got it wrong. Iâm like pissed since it was my job to get turkey this year.Â
You bought a vegan turkey and they sent you a real one? Isnât that, like, illegal? A bait and switch? Canât you sue for that?
I called them and they said it was mistake but are also out of the vegan turkey. They gave me a refund and said to take the turkey... so do you want one?Â
Well, I thought I could cook and stuff, but Vegan Thanksgiving is hard on me this year. Iâm trying but everything is coming up bad with my ideas. My vegan turkey came in and looked at it...and it was real one so now Iâm out a vegan turkey so I may live off of sides.
David smiled as he laughed, and his sister beside him exaggerated her own grin so her eyes would squint the way her brotherâs did. He listened to his friendâs explanation about the hair dye and ducked his head, chuckling right before he filled Daisy in and added his own comment in. âI do not dye my hair several times a week⊠several times a year, yes. But, I do my research on the best products. I donât use cheap dye and I make sure I take all of the required steps necessary to do the job well. Thank you very much.âÂ
Daisy saw all of the snacks be listed off and she nodded, âThose are all good. I like veggie chips, or the straws are what I usually like to get.â She took the remote for Davidâs TV and started to set up the menu for the next movie. She would wait to play it until they were all ready to watch it.Â
The older brother waved his hand in his sisterâs direction again, waiting for her to look at him so he could sign, Will you be okay if I step out for a minute? He never wanted his sister to feel uncomfortable, so he checked to make sure if she would feel alright alone with Bright while he went to the kitchen.Â
Yes, she signed back. She gave a reassuring nod so the other would go, knowing he was always thinking of her. She was very lucky for that.Â
He looked at David with a smirk as he was explaining things about his hair dye. that he would never do anything like that himself.  âStill you dont need to natural is the best lookâ he smirked at David for a moment. âBut I do hope you buy right...the stuff in dye is so badâ he made a face at it .
âI got both!â he smiled handing one bag over to her. He loved them both really, and always had a bag or two on him. He did like to always eat right, so the chips was a good snack for him to have. He had many snacks but the chips where one he liked the most really. Along with fresh veggies and fruit, and much more.Â
âWhat about you Daisy what foods do you like the most to snack on?â he asked hoping she could understand him with David away for the moment. Â
Yea, itâs definitely a good thing. I still canât really take a breathe yet âcause I gotta call and follow up on a bunch of legal shit thatâs in the process of gettinâ changed, but itâs still definitely a great thing.
Ah. I thought so. But I also wasnât all that sure; Iâm pretty shit when it comes to names and faces.Â
Itâs all going to be worth it in the end, it may be a pain in the butt at first but in the end you got it all done.
I can be bad too but yeah Iâm Brighton, I did that fun run last weekend and Iâm that guy thatâs vegan try and remember that.Â
Thanks.
It, uh⊠It feels kinda weird stillâŠ.
âŠHave we met before?
But thatâs a good thing right? I mean it took time but worth it?Â
But i dont think so...but Iâve seen you around before.Â
After damn-near a whole day of getting my ass grilled by a judge, I have somethinâ important to say:
âŠHey, there. Iâm Schuyler Maikel.
Thatâs great congrats!Â
David grinned, a hand touching over his heart before he continued to sign. âWe are just like twins,â he agreed out loud as well. âIf we switched clothes, we could totally fool people. Couldnât we?â He looked to his sister and laughed.Â
Daisy shook her head fondly and let out a soft laugh as well. âOh, totally. Let me just get heels and dye my hair ten times in the same week first,â she teased. Her brother just chuckled. âI donât dye my hair that many times⊠maybe just a couple times a week!â he winked.Â
The teen girl sat back down on her spot on the couch, patting beside her for Penny to lay beside her. She still watched the other two and nodded. âIâm glad too. Or Iâd just be lost a lot of times. We can watched Spirited Away next, thatâs a good one. What kind of snacks did you bring?âÂ
Before David would sit, he started to tidy up the coffee table where they had their takeout bags. âIâm gonna get another water. Do you guys want one? Or something else to drink?âÂ
Water, please, Daisy signed.Â
David gave Daisy the okay sign, waiting to see if Bright wanted anything before going to the kitchen to dispose of the bags and grab waters.Â
He nodded âYou should it would be so funny, like I can see it working and fooling everyoneâ he teased.  âLike i can barley tell you two apart right now, so sorry I mix you two upâ he had to keep up with the joke.Â
âi know right? heâs crazy with thatâ he smirked a moment. âI dontâ do that.do you know whatâs in hair dye Davidâ he made a face at his friend. âLike you should look into itâ he knew there was some not as bad but most were really bad for you and the earth. âYouâre going to lose all your pretty hair from thatâ he smirked.Â
He nodded âIâve heard of that oneâ he had seen it years ago but really not in a long time. He went and sat not to far from Daisy and looked at her. âVeggie wraps and some cookies, and veggie chips...â he nodded.  âWater is fine with me tooâ he nodded. He liked to drink water too, it was always a good park of his day.Â
âYes, but I am sure even if I had multiple Daisy would still be my favorite,â David said, hands moving quickly while he relayed all of the messages over to his sister. He offered a sympathetic smile at Bright before signing what he said to Daisy, doing this while they hung out so she wouldnât miss any of what he said. He knew Daisy could lipread, but she preferred to see someone sign.Â
Daisy kept her eyes on Bright as long as she could, but when the other started to talk about his sister she needed to look at David for clarification. She let out a soft laugh, a sweet expression on her face. âItâs okay. I have a personal interpreter,â she nodded toward David and laughed. âWe just watched Howlâs Moving Castle. Have you seen it before?âÂ
Bright chuckled a moment hearing what he said. It was sweet and very David. So he had to make a joke.  âyou two are both so sweet and just are like twins, so siblingsâ he smirked. He was that type to make dumb jokes like that. That yes he knew David was adopted but he had make a joke like he was not. Â
He smiled at them both. âIâm glad David is so good at itâ he could not keep up with Davids signing really. That he could not keep up when David would sign. He looked at the TV and shook his head âNo I havenât seen many of the movies you are all watchingâ only a few and it had been a while since he saw them. âI did bring my own snacks but you are welcome to eat them tooâ he smiled as held up his bag.Â
David chuckled as he watched the dogs eagerly fight for Brightâs attention, âYeah, whenever Daisy spends the night we get Penny too. Right, boy?â He reaches down to pet his dog and giggled sweetly again. âDaisyâs in the living room. We were just finishing up a movie, but we can start a new one soon.â
He locked the door and then walked into his apartment, waving in his sisterâs direction as he approached her. Once he had her attention, he gestured to his friend before he started to sign to her and talk aloud at the same time. âThis is Bright, my wonderful, Earth-loving friend Iâve told you about. And Bright, this is Daisy, my favorite little sister,â he introduced the two with a grin on his face.
Daisy, standing in her own pastel tie-dye sweats, waved back to her brotherâs friend after watching David. âItâs nice to meet you,â she spoke, also signing simaltaneously. âDavid told me about the fun run you did. It sounded cool.â She smiled, briefly bending down to pet her dog when she walked up to her.
He did love animals so he was happy to see the two dogs. It was a goal of his own to get a dog of his own soon. But he was in school so long, and had work he did he wasnât home at his home a lot. So he knew it would be best once he got more free time. because last thing h wanted was to leave a dog at home alone all day. But he hoped that soon he could find a dog that he could rescue and adopt.
Smiled as he waved at Daisy she seemed very sweet. âWait donât you only have one sisterâ he joked with David. He smiled at her and chuckled âYou both are lucky and are sweet my sister drivers me wild I love her but sheâs a painâ he chuckled. Â
âItâs nice to meet you tooâ he said and signed he didnât know it that well. âSorry I dont know signs that well I just learned a littleâ he smirked a moment. âBut what are you watching now?â he asked looking at the tv.Â
