Secret and Permission 😌

I became a TikTok creator under the name notjustalime 2 years ago. Which is amazing! As of January 2022, I have 125k followers and 1 million likes on TikTok. I also now have 4.7K followers on Instagram, 720ish on Twitch, and 250 on Twitter. These past 2 years flew by so quickly, I didn't have enough time to come back here and say thank you.

Thank you for taking a chance on a small creator still learning digital art. I am honored that you chose to follow me. If you want to see how different yet more consistent my style is, please follow me on my Instagram or my potentially new Tumblr, notjustalime.

I state all of this because I am about to use the art from this Tumblr as part of a before series and I don't want anyone thinking that I stole from a small creator to make a before drawing. Also, the concept of stealing from myself is just so funny, I can't even comprehend it. That would be strange. I condone myself under the username Notjustalime to use brigiddraws drawings and to blue out the name Brigid and brigiddraws to use for whatever I want. Users NOT named notjustalime do NOT have the same permission others may not blur out my name or use this art without my explicit permission.

I'm literally putting this here in case someone tries to start drama 🤠 🤣

Oh, and if you started following me under notjustalime first and found this post, you win. You found out my first name. Here's a medal 🏅 But also, I hope this also goes to show when you hide behind your art, or hide parts of your truer self, it doesn't work on social media. If you let yourself draw and be who you're supposed to be, life will line up the way it's supposed to.

I accidentally deleted Procreate. I do not have anything backed up on my iPad or Cloud.

Just to be clear, I deleted 1 year worth of artwork, including, but not limited to: 6 chapters of comic drafts, several reference pictures for my characters, my personal brush list, several self-created palettes, 7 months of social media posts, stickers, and my sanity.

I thankfully have 3 finalized drafts saved in 2 different places, scraps of the other 3 comics saved on Drive, with comic size references on there as well, and I’ve uploaded a good 60% on social media and elsewhere... trying not to remember what I’ve lost.

But I am too shocked at my own carelessness to feel the whole weight of what I just did.

I am taking this as a lesson in permanence and backing things up on my Drive immediately after creation. I am also grateful this happened now and not with 15 final drafts of a comic.

Now to start the recovery process.
