WHAT'S THAT PUPPET BOY?
Do ya take commissions at all?
Not at the moment, but I've gotten quite a few people asking about them... 🤔
Gauging interest, if I were to open them, what sorts of things would you guys be interested in? Character illustrations? Short looped animations? Mini animatics? Animation meme/trends?

Helloooo. Your animated work is really cool. I always wanted to make that kind of animatic, but my computer gaves up before I do 😔😔
How do you do it? Do you make one single file with all the animation, or maybe do separate shots? Do you make a post-production phase of some sorts?
Thank you, I appreciate it!
I definitely do have a pretty beefy computer, I had it built specifically to handle heavy animation files, so it can take a hefty beating before it starts struggling.
My preference is to only use a single file so I can repeatedly watch it all the way through and make sure the sequence works well with itself, but that's mainly because I've only ever done animatics that are 2 minutes or less. For industry work, when the team is working on episodes that are around 22 minutes long, it's absolutely necessary to break up the file into smaller chunks (usually between 1-3 minutes), or the whole thing will run devastatingly slow.
I do sometimes do post-production in Premiere Pro, but that's usually just for small things like vignette blurs or text overlay. A majority of the final product is all done in the one Storyboard Pro file.
If you're finding that your computer is struggling to handle larger files, it may be worth it to try a lighter program, or split your file into tinier chunks that you can edit together later.
if it isn't too much trouble, could we maybe get some of the individual frames from the speed up sequence of the Megalomaniac animatic please. I understand if you just want people to find the individual details themselves though
Absolutely you can! Here are all of the unique frames in the flashing section (82 unique frames)!
Bear with me, I'll have to reblog this to get everything in here since tumblr only allows 30 images per post
I also posted a thread on twitter that includes a little bit of commentary for some of the panels! It's right here, for anybody interested
Part 2!
Part 3!
And one frame that wasn't allowed to repeat at all, only showing up a single time! Wonder who that guy is...

Heya! Nice to meet you in Frankie! I just watched your Burning spice cookie animation 3 times and I'm obsessed! It's amazing, I like how you pictured him, and I find a lil bit funny how he just snapped at that poor server RIP random cookie 🙏
Anywho I'm here to ask if you have other Burning spice cookie animation in progress or are you just gonna do this one?
Hi Frankie, thank you! I'm really glad you liked it!
I don't have any other burning spice animatics in progress anymore, but I do have this old abandoned wip of a scene from chapter 6! (Volume warning)
I won't be continuing it, but it was fun to work on while I did! I had a whole radioplay + script going from this scene alllll the way to the end, with burning spice getting buried in the rubble, but it ended up being a little bit too ambitious for a free-time-only project, so I dropped it.
Your new animatic is insane!!! I love to see Burning Spice getting this much attention, and you capture his character and motivations so well!!
How long did it take you? I can’t even imagine. Are you planning to post the separate frames from the throne montage? I’m going to at least pause/play through it a few times so I can make sure I see everything, it’s so cool :)
Thank you so much, that really means a lot!
Megalomaniac took over a year😓I initially posted the first teaser on twitter back in March of 2025, starting it pretty soon after puppet boy was finished. I thought it was going to take me only slightly longer than puppet boy's 3 week process time... What a fool I was🚬
Granted, megalo had to be placed on the back burner many, many, many times due to a bunch of goings-on in my personal and professional life over the past year. I'm glad it's finally done and that people are liking it! I can't stress enough how much I appreciate the positive reception and super thoughtful commentary everyone's been giving 🫶
I'll be posting still + unblurred frames of all the rapid-fire shots next week! I want to give people some time to explore and scrub through the video on their own first

(Psst... new animatic tomorrow)
Was wondering why my room keeps getting so hot only in the evenings and realized that the burning spice animatic's program file is so heavy that it functionally turns my PC into a space heater when I open it after work
Would you let him smash your head open on a hardwood floor yes or no
