what’s up, tumblr? long time, no see.

2017 has been the most difficult yet rewarding year of my life thus far. If I had to describe the year in one word without a doubt it would be CHANGE. This year brought love & loss. I lost myself for a while & then found & got to know myself all over again. This has been a year of discovery, growth, persistence, & accomplishment. I’ve achieved every goal I had for the year & far more than I could have foreseen. I graduated both cosmetology & barber school. I passed both of my state board exams & received two licenses. I got a job right out of school. A job that I love which allows me to use my skills & creativity on a daily basis. I’ve gained many kind, loyal clients & many amazing friends. Through all the curveballs this year has thrown my way I’ve gotten to see just how many incredible people there are in my life that truly have my best interests at heart. Thank you to those that have had my back through thick & thin & helped me pick up the pieces when my life seemingly fell apart at times. Thank you for encouraging me to keep pushing forward when it would have been much easier to just give up & “quit while I was ahead.” I have only one goal for the upcoming year: to create my own happiness. Here’s hoping that 2018 is a year full of happiness for us all. Cheers to a new year.
