The clearest way Abed shows his love for Troy is in season 4 episode 11. When he goes on the anniversary date with Britta as “Troy,” he ignores the waiter baiting him into arguing about Die Hard.

Abed hates that waiter. He loves Die Hard. He usually refuses to go to this restaurant for this reason.

But he knows Troy needs him to “be Troy” so he commits fully and ignores the waiter. I love it so much. I love them so much.
