"Identified. Joker. Human. Dangerous." Leila rattled off like a computer taking a few steps back.
Leila really didn’t want to have to go to the sewers but there wasn’t much of a choice. Cops and Cadmus workers had cornered her in an alley and there wasn’t anywhere else to hide. Her head whipped around at a noise.
"Who’s there?"
Croc emerged slowly from the darkness, coming into few in the dimly lit tunnels as she questioned who it was.
"I was going to ask you the same thing, girly."
She jumped and instinctively, a purplish force field dome went up around her. "Leila. Hiding. Not mean to disturb Killer Croc. Sorry, sorry."

"Yes i’ve worked with a few of them. And they all help people." Shadow began to lead her towards the safe house making sure they weren’t followed. "Well i can try to find you a new one if you want."
Following Shadow she fiddled with the zipper on her hoodie. "Nice doctors sound good." Her face lit up at the mention of a new violin. "Really? I miss playing, playing. Calming. Not like training."

"I didn’t want to scare you and it’s easier to sign a letter with an s." Shadow held her hand gently. "Well i promise to keep you safe  not all doctors are evil though some like to help people who can’t help themselves so do you have anything you want to take with you?"
"Leila hasn't met a nice doctor yet. Has Shadow?" She shook her head. "Leila used to have violin but she couldn't grab it when escaping. So no, nothing."

"You can call me shadow if you want it’s nice to meet you leila." Shadow nodded slowly offering her hand and smiling. "Yep they are gone and they won’t be coming after you ever again."
"Shadow, Shadow. Like much better than S." Hesitantly she took her hand. "Only gone for a while though. To many contingency plans to be gone forever, but gone for now. Good good."

Shadow picked up the note as she was finishing her patrol and laughed softly. Her main aim had been been to get the girl off the street and fed but this was was interesting.Â
Stepping inside she raised her hands to show she wasn’t armed. “Safe house does mean safe no one will bother you there except me to drop off food and it’s a lot warmer than this place and no i’m not from cadmus i work with the people who took cadmus down, for a while anyway.”
Leila titled her head at the girl and smiled. "Good good. Safe. Leila likes safe. " She fiddled with the zipper on her hoodie. "Cadmus down? All gone?"

Shadow had actually been watching the warehouse for jokers crew but after a few days she had worked out that the girl was living there. Flipping down she waited until she thought it was clear to put down a box of alfred’s cookies and other essentuals with a note on top.Â
"If you want a home i have a safe house round the the corner, no questions asked, S."

Cookies! Leila smiled and nibbled on one as she read the note. Biting her lip she went over to her small bag of stuff, fished out a pencil and decided to write back.
Safe? No doctors, guards, trainers? S should come talk to Leila. Unless S is from Cadmus, then Leila will hide. But S seems nice so they are probably not from Cadmus
This was all he needed. There wasn’t a day that went by that Oswald wished he hadn’t left the confines of his home. He looked to the kid out the corner of his eyes while waiting for the crosswalk signal to change. He was going to regret this, he knew he was. The bird sighed, going through with it anyways. “Do you need directions?”Â
She twiddled with the zipper on her jacket nervously and nodded. "Narrows please?"
Leila has found the Seer
Will smiled, as she talked about random facts and that she liked riding in the car. “Well, I’m glad you’re finding it fun Leila.” He remarked as they drove to his house, enjoying her randomness while at the same time mentally cursing whoever thought it was okay to make her that way. The way she talked about Cadmus gave him a big hint as to who he could blame for what happened to her. “We’re almost there, soon you’ll be safer than ever.”
She blinked a bit and frowned. "No no. Leila lied. Sorry, sorry. Has been in car before. Long time ago. After fire and new family, people took Leila in car. Was not as fun as this. Too many questions, doctors, and sleepy needles." She shook it off and went back to looking out the window happily.
She nodded. “Narrows dangerous at night. Lots of bad people.”
"I should have brought Griffin with me," he muttered to himself. He paused, taking in his surroundings before asking the girl a question, "I don’t suppose you know the way out of Narrow’s, do you? I seem to have gotten myself lost.”
"Griffin?" She asked curiously before nodding. "Leila knows way out." She gestured for him to follow her before walking.

“Aw, you should be called smart more.”
"Um, sure! We can be friends!"
"Good good. Leila never had friend before. Cadmus did not allow her to go outside much and doctors and trainers are not nice friends. What do you do?"

She smiled happily. “Good, good, not with Cadmus is good. Leila is Leila. Hello.”
"Hi Leila," she greeted, but still kept her distance. "Are you alright?"
She nodded. "Leila alright. Just hiding....kind of. Not hiding from everyone, just Cadmus."

"No, no. People should not be in Narrows at night. Dangerous, dangerous. Unless, person after Leila?" She tilted her head and looked at him cautiously.
"Hmm, sorry?" Hugo stopped suddenly at the sound of another living thing and turned to see who it was.
"Did you say this place is dangerous?” he asked the girl.
She nodded. "Narrows dangerous at night. Lots of bad people."
