Local 58 (WCLV-TV) has been broadcasting in Mason County since 1938, as we watch documentaries, movies, news reports, and others too. A synthpop song (released in 1983) was discovered in a cassette tape, so whoever made this was very talented. Don’t touch that dial, we’re just continuing our broadcast day.

There has been stories of urban legends in Mason County, WV since its founding (with Ichor Falls) in 1804. Legends that have been told [the Mothman, Indrid Cold, the Stillwood King, the Hirsch Camera, the Woman In Profile, Curious Little Thing, the Stitched Man, and the Screaming Lady] are popular based on the residents’ encounters, discoveries, and experiences in the past. This is why this song, released in 1975, is inspired by it.

The Society of the Skull and Shovels has been active since 1773, long before Broodhollow’s founding. While drinking beverages, eating snacks, and playing card games, music plays to keep the members nice and smooth.

This song is an R&B mashup version of David Graey’s soundtrack for Broodhollow Book 1 and 2, including the theme songs of the titular town and Wadsworth Zane, Antiques and Antiquities, Whiteout, and Deeper.

Mason County, WV, 2025. The Town of a Thousand Holidays, Broodhollow, is always inhabited with its residents who celebrate everyday, but the haunting mysteries still remain today. The most mysterious event is a card game known as Parlor Oubliette (a hybrid of poker and pinochle). Maybe it’s because of the tiny, deep lake in the Stillwood Forest, known as God’s Wound. The Native Americans say that this forest is a timeless domain, and this body of water is a doorway to another world. Once you dive down, there’s no way out to going back.

Welcome newcomers to the blog, didn’t expect so many in such a short period of time! I don’t have any Broodhollow updates for you, but we’ve hit the giveaway goal!

I see that the Penny Arcade shop is down because they’re moving their warehouse, so we’ll perform the giveaway once it opens back up. As it’s where the shirt would be ordered from. I’ll keep an eye on the shop and the giveaway will commence when it re-opens.

A creature, nicknamed “the Woman in Profile”, has been around in Mason County, West Virginia since its first sighting in 1870. As a silhouette form, the creature appears as a tall human woman viewed in profile, but that’s its disguise to bait in its prey.
