greetings! i thought it was about time for an introductory post.

about me:

my name is liudebert, my pronouns are he and him, and i am a novice monk at farnham monastery. i am quite new to the monastic life and have found it difficult to adjust, as i was previously the fourth son of a minor lord. nevertheless, i am happy to be here and am excited to serve our community and our Lord!

interests:

i enjoy copying texts, doing illustrations, and working with textiles. i do not enjoy lauds or getting up early (dont tell the prior i said this). i am also very interested in jesus. i think about him all the time. i hope he thinks i am a good little monk

Attention, brethren and townsfolk!

Farnham shall be hosting a fair on the day of St. Barnabas (June 11th for the laypeople who may be unaware), and of course we shall wish to display the fine work of the monastery on this day, so all the residents of the monastery are invited on this day to, if they are so inclined, display some of their work, be it embroidery, spinning, illuminations, or something else. Laypeople are of course also invited to display their work at the fair, as are travelers from outside of Farnham if they have art of a ecclastical/medieval nature!

It is requested that those displaying their works label them with “#farnham town fair”, for the aid of organization and so that a collected list can be made of all of the works displayed

Okay I made chicken and waffles. The waffle maker was haloween themed and had a mold of a pumpkin (pagan, unacceptable, the work of insufficiently supervised evangelists in northern gaul). This gave the waffles a cakier, more pancake-like softness on one side, which was not entirely unpleasant. (Accused of manicheanism, orthodoxised and adopted on the grounds that its dual nature represented the Christ-nature as both wholly divine and wholly mortal. Bishop bribed with slightly more ecclesiastical power for their city state and a toenail of st. Mark.)

Obviously the three aspects of the sandwich represent the three hypostases of the trinity. The waffles, given their prescriptive Aristotelian role in defining the ensemble as A Sandwich, correspond to God the Father. The chicken, being the literal body blood of a mortal animal, correspond to Christ. The remoulade sauce serves as a binding agent between the three, and thus corresponds to the Holy Spirit. (Description accused of Sabellianism. Accuser was rejected and burned at the stake for being a Lutheran.)

Fascism isn’t caused by long COVID or lead exposure or mental illness or brain damage that’s magical thinking. We have to be materialists about this. Fascism is caused by an excess of both yellow bile AND black bile in the blood disrupting the regular functioning of the humors, all the medical literature proves this. Let’s not spread misinformation or pseudoscience.

brothers i fear i have done something wicked,, for i have an awful hacking cough that will not desist. brother thomas said my lungs sounded clear but they most certainly do not.

i am recieving glares in the scriptorium for disturbing the peaceful quiet but the abbot says i must complete this commission by lauds tomorrow so i cannot retire to the infirmary. pray for me brothers
