I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: the funniest part of Act 3 to me is that there’s definitely like a whole week where every night Tav is going to bed with a deer-in-the-headlights look and their at this point fully-committed partner is just like “Ok, who propositioned you this time? Halsin? Minthara? Mizora? IT WAS THE MINDFLAYER??”

Can't believe that one of the big writing competitions here, Young Story Teller Award, is now seriously allowing AI-generated texts to be handed in, as long as the "author" admits that they used AI.

And they will treat "traditionally written" manuscripts and AI generated ones the same bc "the result counts, not how you got there". Like, genuinely, WHAT THE FUCK?!

This is such a gut punch for genuine writers who hone their craft and put a shit ton of work into everything. Not to mention a AI generated cover won a competition in the past as well!

Especially bc Story One who hosts it is a means for unknown authors to get a genuine chance at publishing their work and bringing it to the local shops. They literally wanted to give everyone a chance at becoming a published author and this has no integrity at all.

I have little hope that there will be enough backlash. It's just unbelievably hurtful to the writing community and creativity as a whole.
