what instrument I think Karasuno players would play, as a band kid:
Daichi - precussion, that man is the backbone of the band
Suga - Saxophone and he actually practices
Asahi - flute, he chose the quietest instrument bc he didn't want anyone to hear him even though he's a pretty good player
Kiyoko - percussion, also helps support the band, helps pass out water during breaks, stays after school to practice
Nishinoya - trumpet, do I need to elaborate?, BEGS for solos and duets and spams "please speed i need this" to Ukai when he refuses
Tanaka - trombone, again, do I need to elaborate?, wants to play Sticky by Tyler the creator so bad, is halfway there to convincing Ukai too
Hinata - Tuba. no reason other then I think it would be funny. he'd also get upset when ppl ask "do you actually play tuba?", is genuinely the loudest person in the band
Kageyama - saxophone, in the most pretentious way possible, idk just gives off that vibe, but he genuinely does love playing
Tsukishima - clarinet, doesn't actually care for it, chose it bc it seemed like the best option, doesn't practice a lot but is somehow really good
Yamaguchi - clarinet, wanted to play it bc of Squidward LMFAO, he's talking that to the grave tho, goes over his scales multiple times before playing
Yachi - flute, like Asahi, wanted a quiet instrument, she also thought it sounded pretty
Ukai - Percussion, he can play other instruments but loves Percussion the most, has a hatred for flutes (the instruments, not the players lol) (no I'm not basing this off my own band director haha what are you taking about??)
Takeda - he's never touched an instrument in his life, but Ukai needed an assistant for so he volunteered
