We’re hiring an iOS engineer!

We’re looking to hire an iOS engineer at Prefer (formal job listing here)! You’d be our fifth engineer overall, and could work from our offices in either NYC or San Francisco.

Our iOS codebase couldn’t really be much more modern, having just been “rebooted” in November 2017. It’s built entirely using Swift and Auto Layout, and relies heavily on RxSwift (prior Rx experience is not necessary, but a desire to learn would certainly help). 

Our (very recently re-launched) App Store version is very simplistic, but we’ve got a great foundation to build an exciting product roadmap on top of. You’d be partnering with me directly, working to balance a top-tier user experience (our designer is amazing) while iterating fast and remaining nimble, learning from our users and our operations team.

As a small engineering team, some full-stack experience is desired (we have a Rails backend and our web app is built using React). While you’d focus primarily on iOS, we make big-picture decisions and work together as a team, building the best overall platform that we can.
