hi. im sydney. this is my audio drama sideblog for audio drama posting :) number one favourite of all time is red valley, followed closely by killjam xxx and the harbingers. i've listened to a number of other things but i am not dedicated enough to keep a whole list. Yet.

weekly review #2: The Harbingers

this week i have been utterly consumed by Wooden Overcoats but i still have a season to go on that one so review #2 is for one i'm honestly shocked I hadn't reviewed yet:

The Harbingers, which since its release late last year has grabbed me by the shoulders and shaken me extremely hard every single day. which is to say, it's very good. i've managed to personally convince at least 6 people i know to listen to it through the sheer power of Not Shutting Up and i don't plan on stopping any time soon :)

Pretty much anybody I've talked to within the last few months will have heard of The Harbingers, because it truly will not leave my brain. I just cannot stop thinking about it (not that I'd want to. I'm enjoying its stay here<3) or indeed talking about it to anyone who'll listen !! The dynamic between our two leads is absolutely delectable, I'm so obsessed with them both individually and as a pair (inextricable no matter how much they may struggle to accept it) and the way their perspectives are woven together is MASTERFUL. The framing device of parallel legal prep sessions is utilised so well to tell an incredibly compelling story while also scattering breadcrumbs that really get you thinking about what's to come. Extremely enjoyable, extremely re-listen-able while I wait for more, extremely difficult to put down once you've started it. AND the score is absolute perfection. I'm so glad this podcast exists, and I cannot WAIT to see where it goes.
